TFB Review: Jard's Set Trigger For AR-15 Pattern Rifles (A First For ARs)
AR-15 triggers have been one of Jard Inc.’s specialties, but they’ve claimed a first in the firearms industry by creating a Set Trigger for AR-15 rifles and pistols. For those not familiar with the concept or the term, a set trigger can be fired in two ways; using a more standard weight of trigger pull; or by “setting” the trigger forward, which takes considerably less weight off the trigger pull. Jard was kind enough to send an AR-15 Set Trigger to TFB to review. Let’s dig in.
AR-15 Drop-In Set Trigger by JARD Inc.
Set triggers are really handy gadgets that allow having a standard and extremely light trigger pull in the same trigger mechanism. However, these triggers are pretty much exclusively seen in classic hunting guns such as bolt action rifles. Well, now there is an option for ARs. JARD Inc has designed an AR-15 set trigger which they claim to be the first such trigger for AR-pattern rifles.

This function greatly reduces the pull weight when one then presses the trigger to the rear to fire the rifle. In “unset” mode, the trigger works normally, and like many SAKO and Tikka triggers is adjustable from 2-4lbs. The single-set triggers will be available in the following models:
