MDT Sporting Goods from Canada has acquired Long Range Arms, a company well known for their Send-iT electronic levels. If you’re a long-range precision shooter and not yet familiar with this anti-cant device, you should take a serious look. I bought mine a few years ago and it works very well helping me level my rifle for each shot. If you’re using a Spuhr mount, they have a special version that attaches directly to the mount instead of your Picatinny rail.

Minnesota-based Real Avid has been hailed in the past for offering useful products like cleaning tools and armorer’s kits. From wrenches and informational cleaning mats to magazine disassembly tools and punch sets, if you’re a firearms DIY-er chances are they make something you could use. One task for home gunsmiths about which much has been discussed is scope leveling. With the recent release of their Level-Right Pro, the folks at Real Avid aim to make this job easier to do properly.

Tony of Kahntrol.com posted a clever method for leveling a reticle in a scope. He goes on to explain that due to errors in assembly the reticle could be slightly off. There could be errors in the machining of the scope body for those who use scope levelers like the Spuhr or Arisaka leveling kits.
