Ruger PC Carbine With Stealth Gray Magpul PC Backpacker Stock
The Ruger PC Carbine is a deservedly venerated rifle that comes in a handful of core configurations and numerous other trims and styles. While Nicholas C has completely bastardized his own PC Carbine using a grab bag of Boyd’s Gunstock parts, Magpul and Ruger have teamed up once again to offer the PC Carbine, this time with a Magpul Stealth Gray PC Backpacker stock. This $150 piece of kit is a popular aftermarket option for Ruger PC carbine owners as it takes the rather large footprint of the 9mm carbine and allows it to be neatly stowed in a small bag and even includes accommodation for storing a single pistol magazine. The new Magpul PC Backpacker Stealth Gray option is being made available directly from the Ruger store as a new SKU that costs just a hair less than what you’d expect to pay for the two items individually.
TFB Review: BOYDS AT-ONE Mossberg 500 Stock On A Ruger PC Carbine
As many of you have noticed by now I like atypical firearms. This may involve using accessories not originally designed for that platform. Well, when BOYDS offered up their gun stocks for review, I jumped at the chance to try out the BOYDS AT-ONE Mossberg 500 stock but to see if I could use it on my Ruger PC Carbine. I will explain how I did that in a little bit but first, let’s take a look at the stock.
The PCC Takedown Protector from USA Knife Maker
I recently came across an interesting product from USA Knife Maker Supply that I had never seen before – the PCC Takedown Protector. The goal of the product is to seal off the barrel lug and receiver socket where the two halves of the Ruger PC Takedown Carbine or Charger combine.

TFB Review: Tyrant Designs Concept One and MOD v2 Grip Upgrades
Since buying entire guns has gone out of style for the time being most of us have had to find new ways to keep ourselves occupied in our favorite hobby. I’ve been recently taking a bit of time to try new accessories and upgrades on a few of my AR-15 pistols as well as some of my pistol caliber carbines that I use for competitions and Tyrant Designs has been a huge help in this endeavor. Tyrant Designs was kind enough to send me out their new Concept One pistol grip and MOD v2 ForeGrip for testing and review and today I’ll be sharing my results on how these grip upgrades worked out on two of my rigs.
CROM USA PCC v2.0 Billet Chassis
CROM USA’s billet chassis for the Ruger PCC has evolved. Their chassis are made of billet aluminum and allow the shooter to use the Magpul SGA shotgun stock. While they have a free-floated handguard they later came out with a modified Zhukov handguard. Well, now they have developed a new chassis that allows you to use AR pistol grips and a Picatinny rear rail to add braces or stocks.
Jawbone Ruger PC Carbine Mag Release
The Ruger PC Carbine seems to be a very popular gun with a lot of aftermarket support. Well, a new company called Jawbone just debuted a product that helps improve one of the major flaws of the Ruger PC Carbine. That one major flaw is the location of the mag release, it’s in a very inconvenient spot. James even points this out in his video 8 Reasons Why I Wanted to Hate the Ruger PC Carbine (and the 8 Reasons I Don’t) from a few months back.
Homemade Ruger PC Carbine Stock With Influence From WW2
The Ruger PC Carbine garnered plenty of aftermarket support, almost as soon as it was released, but tinkerers have been having their fun with it too. Some of our TFB readers surely remember one such homemade Ruger PC Carbine project that involved using a surplus PPSh stock, but our friend Axel reached into more German and American roots when he began his homemade Ruger Carbine build. We have featured another work of Axel’s doing, his sci-fi, double Marlin 60 rifle (make sure you check that out if you haven’t seen it yet). Let’s see his take on the Ruger PC Carbine.
Kenny G. Made A Custom Ruger PCSH-41 (PPSH X PC Carbine Hybrid)
Ever since the Ruger PC Carbine came out, fans have been wanting a wooden stock. Then Ruger came out with their free-float handguard version of the Ruger PC Carbine and the desire for a wooden stock intensified. Recently on the Ruger PCC Owners Group on Facebook, Kenneth G., aka Kenny G. (not the famous saxophonist), posted up pictures of his customized Ruger PCC. He calls it a Ruger PCSH-41 and it is a modified Ruger PCC stock merged with a PPSH-41 wooden stock.

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves discusses why he wasn’t really that hot on the Ruger PC Carbine Chassis model…until he got it out on the range for a while.
