The NEW SIG-Sauer Romeo X Series Red Dot
In this episode of TFBTV, Hop visited the SIG optics factory to watch the Romeo X red dot being assembled by a dystopian machine that hopefully won’t turn on us someday (but it probably will). These optics are the successor to the Romeo Elite and Elite Zero, which had polymer bodies and really annoying buttons. The Romeo X is a step in the right direction, but is it too late to catch up with Holosun?
NEW SIG Sauer ROMEO-X and ROMEO-X PRO – Standard Footprints!
Back at SHOT Show 2023, during the SIG Sauer Range Day, we got to look at the new SIG Sauer Electro-Optics Red Dot, the ROMEO-M17. Much to the chagrin of TFBTV viewers and those who liked the features that the M17 offered, customers weren’t able to get it since it had a proprietary SIG-LOC mounting interface for the M17/M18 military-issue handgun. Today SIG Sauer Electro-Optics is excited to announce the new RMSc footprint ROMEO-X series of optics which will include the smaller ROMEO-X meant for the RMSc footprint, and the ROMEO-X PRO meant for all P320, and DeltaPoint PRO footprints.
TFB Sneak Peek: SIG Sauer's NEW Micro Red Dot, the ROMEOZero
Micro-pistol owners rejoice, as SIG is bringing a suitable option for deep carry pistols like the SIG P365 and other single stack 9mms, and even slim 1911s: Enter, the ROMEOZero.
FBI To Issue Sig Sauer ROMEO4M Red Dot Optics
After competitive solicitation, the FBI has chosen the Sig Sauer ROMEO4M red dot sight as a new general issue optic for patrol carbines. After a TFB Exclusive in November where the FBI approved the ROMEO4M for use on personal rifles in addition to the previously approved Aimpoint series, the FBI selected the optic for general issue starting in 2017.
TFB EXCLUSIVE: FBI Says SIG Romeo4M Red Dot Is Good As An Aimpoint | Approved For Duty!
It is no secret that SIG Sauer suffered a pretty large blow to the P320 series of pistols when the FBI selected a modified version of the Austrian Glock. I thought that just about everything was lost for SIG and their ambitions of landing Gov approval of their use by federal law enforcement officers.
NEW: SIG Sauer Romeo Sights
SIG Sauer continues their strong move into the optics market with their new Romeo red-dot lineup. The Romeo optics include the Romeo4, Romeo5, and Romeo7. SIG promises exceptional clarity and improved target acquisition with these optics, among other things. It seems clear the company’s plans to expand beyond firearms and into other gear such as optics and ammunition is a success.
