The Crimson Trace Laserguard is now available for the Springfield XD and XDM pistols.

Springfield has finally published the specs of the new XD(m) .45. Its frame is slightly bigger than the 9mm and .40 S&W XD(m) but slightly smaller than the XD .45. Springfield has said that it is the smallest frame polymer .45 on the market.

The .460 Rowland produces about 100 ft/lbs more energy than the 10mm Auto. Wild West Guns’ drop in kit for the Springfield XD allows you to pack 14 rounds of it into a magazine! Real Guns reviews the kit.

The suspected reason for the KB was a round fired out of battery.

Springfield has introduced a compact version of the XD(m) pistol called the 3.8. Its name refers to the barrel length which is 3.8″ long, 0.7″ shorter than the standard XD(m). The name is sure to confuse many who will think it refers to the .380 cartridge.

These photos are of a Springfield XD .45 was blown up after a squib load (a low powered load that does not have enough energy to push the bullet out the muzzle) blocked the barrel and another full power loaded round was fired.
