Heckler & Koch made a civilian version of their UMP sub gun called the USC Carbine back in 2000. Designed following the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994. It has a thumb hole fixed stock, 16″ non-threaded barrel, 10 round magazines, and a semiautomatic only trigger group. The USC was canceled in 2013, but the rumors are true: H&K will be bringing back the USC in limited numbers.

A good friend of TFB, Ronaldo, sent us some great photos of super secret squirrel type Brazilians training in preparation for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. With large events like the Rio games, any number of scenarios can come up requiring an elite force to respond quickly.

The H&K UMP series of submachineguns are a family of polymer blowback firearms designed as a more cost effective alternative to the MP5. While both remain in production however, the MP5 still outsells the much younger UMP and it is quite easy to understand why: it isn’t as good.
But how will it perform on our run and gun course? Surely it will be better than the tried and true Thompson from last week.

As of this morning the H&K USC has been removed from the dealer price sheet, a followup confirmed with H&K that it is discontinued. As of this post date, it is still listed on the website. H&K has not confirmed yet if the weapon was discontinued in Germany, or is just no longer imported by H&K USA.
