A Ukrainian company, the Kharkiv Plant of Individual Means of Protection (HZISZ), which operates under a number of trade names including RAROG, have developed disintegrating plastic machine gun links for various Soviet/Russian-pattern 7.62x54mmR chambered belt-fed machine guns. The ‘KS-122 Machine Gun Tape’ can be used in PK, PKM, and PKT pattern guns as well as the older Goryunov-pattern machine guns, the SG-43 and SGM.

POTD: CZ 75 TOBRUK Auctioned for Over $200,000

Photo Of The Day: Recently, according to a communication from CZ, a CZ 75 TOBRUK pistol raised CZK 5 million – about 220,000 USD – in a charity auction for Ukraine. A limited-edition CZ 75 TOBRUK pistol was sold for CZK 5 million at an evening auction organized by Forbes and the Freedom for Ukraine Initiative. In total, the auction brought in CZK 27.8 million ($1.2 million).

Arms of America is Supporting Ukraine by Selling Russian Ammo

Arms of America, an importer and seller of Kalashnikov rifles, pistols and parts kits, has announced that it is supporting Ukraine with every case of Russian ammo sold. All proceeds from these sales will be donated directly to a Ukrainian charity. This is unsurprising given Arms of America’s founding by combat veterans as well as close ties to WBP Rogow of Poland.

Adams Arms Shipping Carbines To Ukraine

Brooksville, Florida-based Adams Arms have been fulfilling a contract to produce carbines for Ukraine. Adams Arms haven’t stipulated which branch of the Ukrainian Armed Forces or Security Services the carbines are for but they stated that they have been working on orders for the past few months. The carbines appear to be  Adams Arms’s P1 model which has a Picatinny railed gas block with 3 adjustable settings and M4-style furniture. From the footage shown of the rifles, they do not appear to be select fire.

One Million Rounds of Ammunition Offered to Ukraine by AMMO Inc.

AMMO Inc announced today that it would be offering one million rounds of small arms ammunition to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. AMMO Inc is not selling this ammunition but rather offering to donate it to the Ukrainian military after the company heard President Zelensky’s request for ammunition rather than a ride out of the country. AMMO Inc is most well known in the United States as a vertically integrated company of ammunition and firearms components as well as the new operator of the popular gun auction site GunBroker.com.

Canada to Provide Small Arms to Ukraine

The Canadian government has confirmed that shipments of ‘lethal’ military aid will be shipped to Ukraine as the crisis with Russia continues. The military aid will take the form of small arms and ammunition and will follow earlier non-lethal equipment which has already been sent by Canada.

POTD: Ukrainian Soldiers in Combined Resolve XVI

The number of internet users worldwide will soon reach the 5-billion mark. Our world has never been so connected. Great photos can spread like wildfire, but the story and the necessary context sometimes gets left behind. But not in TFB’s  Photo Of The Day, we will always accompany the images with a background and credits to the maker. Above we have a 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment machine gun team that reloads their M240B machine gun during the last battle of Combined Resolve XVI. Combined Resolve XVI was a multinational training exercise conducted at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center, Hohenfels, in Germany, in December 2021.

Ukrainian PG-14.5 NIGHT PREDATOR Anti-Materiel Rifle

The 14.5x114mm cartridge proved to be very effective in an anti-materiel role in modern warfare. Ukrainian companies have designed multiple anti-materiel rifles chambered in this cartridge within the past several years. In fact, the 14.5mm Snipex T-Rex and Alligator rifles have been recently adopted by the Ukrainian army and their semi-auto sibling, Snipex Monomakh, is being tested by the government. Another Ukrainian company that is extensively exploring the capabilities of this cartridge is the Mayak Plant. Earlier, we took a look at Mayak Plant’s Horizon’s Lord anti-materiel rifle and their new 12.7x114HL cartridge created by necking down the 14.5×114 to .50 caliber. Today, we’ll talk about another Mayak Plant design, the PG-14.5 Night Predator (ПГ-14,5 Нічний Хижак), an anti-materiel rifle chambered in 14.5x114mm.

The Arms and Security 2021 exhibition was held in Kyiv, Ukraine from June 15 to 18. Many Ukrainian small arms manufacturers released new products during the show most of which we have already covered. The Ukrainian FORT company (Science Industrial Association (SIA) “FORT” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine) introduced two new firearms during this exhibition – the FORT-230 submachine gun, which we talked about earlier, and the FORT-20 pistol, which we’ll take a look at in this article.

Ukrainian MAGNA BALLISTA Semi-Auto Multi-Caliber Bullpup Rifle

Continuing the coverage of new Ukrainian firearms released at the  Arms and Security 2021 exhibition, today we’ll take a look at the Ballista rifle introduced by a Ukrainian company called Magna. The Magna Ballista is a multi-caliber semi-auto bullpup rifle. It has been in development for several years. The samples brought to the show are pre-production prototypes and the company expects to start the production by the end of the year. They plan to offer it both in military/LE and civilian markets.

Ukrainian Snipex LASKA K-2 Heavy Machine Gun

Yesterday, we took a look at the new Snipex Monomakh anti-material rifle released by this Ukrainian company at the Arms and Security 2021 exhibition recently held in Kyiv, Ukraine. Besides this expansion of their anti-materiel rifle line, the company has also introduced a new belt-fed heavy machine gun chambered in 12.7x108mm. The new HMG is called Laska K-2. It does look similar to the M2 Browning machine gun but many key design elements are completely different. Let’s take a closer look.
