In a recent Instagram post, Remington announced that all new Remington 700 rifles will feature Timney triggers. Yes, that’s right, all Model 700 rifles, including the base model. This is exciting news as an aftermarket trigger is one of the most popular upgrades for any bolt action rifle.

Timney Triggers just added a new affordable option for the Remington 700 platform. The Impact 700 retails for $124.99 and has a non-adjustable pull weight of between 3 and 4 pounds. Like other Timney options, it is a cassette-style unit that drops into a rifle. Let’s take a look at what all this trigger brings to the table.

Glock pistols are popular partially because of their legendary reliability and that is a selling point for Glock pistols many purists will not want to compromise. Timney Triggers has just introduced their latest product, the Glock Flat Trigger Shoe, which is a simple and reliable drop-in replacement for your factory Glock trigger shoe.  The new trigger shoe does not change the function of the pistol in any way and doesn’t replace anything other than the trigger shoe itself swapping out the slightly curved stock trigger for a truly flat-faced Timney trigger. This aftermarket part may be a hot item for those who want to maintain the safety features built into the Glock pistol platform but don’t like the feel of a stock trigger.

The Trigger – probably one of the most important features on any firearm. A firearm with top components won’t be the same thing if the trigger is bad, and the same thing goes for bottom-end firearms.

Companies tend to come in two flavors – those who expand across a wide array of products and those with razor-focus on their competencies. It would seem that Timney Triggers, which as the name implies is known for their triggers, is perhaps showing a glimmer of the former, having spent many years as the latter. Timney’s latest offering is the “49R”, a safety/selector for AR-pattern modern sporting rifles.

The only issue I’ve ever had with my Tavor is the trigger. Of course we all know the trigger is made for a combat rifle not target shooting so it really wasn’t anything unexpected.That issue has been remedied with the receipt of my Timney trigger for the Tavor. As you can see from the photos the quality of the Timney trigger is what we’ve all come to expect.
