STI through Taren Tactical is going to be releasing to market an exact recreation of the custom STI handguns used by Keanu Reeves in John Wick 3, except that they will be live firing instead of blank. These will be available with a number of Taren Tactical accessories that can be bought through Taren as the distributor.

At the end of last September, TFB got a chance to meet Taran Butler at Taran Tactical. You may have seen some of the videos by James Reeves on TFBTV. Those were filmed while we were there.

TacSol has come out with two new barrels and a conversion kit for 2018.

The partnership of trainer Chris Costa and handgun maker STI International seems to be going well. The pair has introduced their latest handgun collaboration – the V.I.P. STI states the Costa V.I.P. is modeled after their own similar non-Costa V.I.P., but …. “upgraded with new finishes, under rail, new stippled grip, and tritium sights”

STI, known for their high-end 1911s, has announced another high-end 1911, the DVC Tactical and DVC Carry. The new handguns take features of their popular competition-oriented DVC line and applies them to a standard length slide, adding in “tactical” features.

STI makes some of the coolest double stack 1911s on the market. For 2017 they have introduced more guns for competitors, tactical shooters, and even concealed carriers.

In a Smith & Wesson SEC filing, it was revealed that the Department of the Army informed them their entry into the Modular Handgun Program would not pass to the next phase. The news is surprising given Smith & Wesson was favored as one of the three entries that would make it through the down selection process.

STI International, Inc. introduced the Guardian 2011 this year. The gun takes the existing Guardian pistol from the 1911 platform and moves it to the 2011 for shooters wanting a little more ammo on tap.

Most readers are familiar with the STI line of 1911s and the quality that goes into them. Since STI is employee owned you can just about count on a quality gun. After all employees have a monetary investment which tends to drive everyone at the company to make the best pistol possible.

The Texas 1911 wizards otherwise known as STI have partnered with Chris Costa to offer a Costa Carry Comp STI 2011. Not only is it stunningly good looking but it feels like it was put together by German jewlers or something. Simply amazing. I couldn’t resist a chance to take a closer look again at my fellow Texan’s wares. When they offered a chance to shoot them it would have been downright rude to say no.

STI is well known for producing extremely high quality pistols right inside the great state of Texas, and at their booth they had numerous products on display. Here Patrick takes a look at a couple of their fancier models with some interesting bells and whistles.

Last year I started to use optics on handguns more frequently. In fact the only time I did not use a pistol with an optic was for the FNH USA 3Gun Championship match where I used my factory Glock 41 in Heavy Optics division. But over the course of a year I have been using some form of pistol with an optic on it.
