Ruger Announces Diamond Anniversary Limited Edition SR1911 Pistol
Sturm, Ruger, & Company was founded by William B. Ruger and Alexander McCormick Sturm in 1949, using a small rented machine shop in Southport, Connecticut. Since launching their first pistol 75 years ago, the .22-caliber “Ruger Standard” which led to a series of some of the most successful rimfire handguns in history, the company has grown to be one of the largest and most popular firearms manufacturers in the world. Throughout 2024, they will be commemorating their 75th anniversary with some special editions of several of their products. One of these will be a Diamond Anniversary Limited Edition SR1911 pistol.
