S&W Shield 380 EZ Performance Center – CCW for John Wick's Mom
The Performance Center version of the Smith & Wesson Shield 380 EZ seems like a weird idea, right? Take a pistol your mom would probably like, then add a bunch of competition bling to it, and this is the result. In this episode of TFBTV, Hop shoots the Shield 380 EZ Performance Center and tries to figure out who should buy one (other than John Wick‘s mom, obviously).
Wheelgun Wednesday: S&W 929, 9mm Revolver
In this edition of TFB’s Wheelgun Wednesday, we’ll take a look at another of Smith & Wesson’s 9mm revolver inspired by Jerry Miculek, the S&W 929. Mr. Miculek and Smith & Wesson have covered their bases when it comes to the 9mm versus .45 ACP debate, and recently threw in a 10mm revolver (again) for good measure. The S&W 929 presents some of the same pros and cons as other revolvers chambered for rimless cartridges, but provides an extra two rounds compared to six-shooters.
TFB Review: Smith & Wesson M&P9 Shield EZ Pistol
Just a bit over a month ago I had the opportunity to visit Smith & Wesson headquarters for their release of the M&P9 Sheild EZ 9mm pistol. This is Smith & Wesson’s follow up to the highly successful 380 EZ which is marketed towards those with less hand strength. For the M&P9 Shield EZ review, I’ve had the opportunity to shoot the pistol now for much longer and I’ve put just a hair over 1,000 rounds through the gun. Now that I’ve had a bunch more experience with the handgun, I’ll share my thoughts on the new pistol and hopefully give you a better idea if the pistol is right for your carry needs.

The 2nd generation of the classic M&P series has finally made its way to the compact-sized pistol category. Although the general look and performance largely remain the same, Smith & Wesson has added a couple of new features to keep the M&P series pistols competitive in today’s rapidly changing market. Today we’re going to review the M&P 2.0 Subcompact.

Wheelgun Wednesday: TFB Review Of The S&W 625 JM .45ACP Revolver
In this edition of TFB’s Wheelgun Wednesday, we’ll be reviewing the Smith & Wesson 625 JM in .45 ACP. Some may question why, in the year 2019, would someone want to shoot .45 ACP through a “six-gun” when you could shoot 7 to 13 of them through a semi-auto? Well, it’s kind of like how people use bicycles even though motorcycles exist… because it’s good for you. Okay, so it may not be the subject of a Men’s Health magazine article, but from a historical, entertaining, or perhaps even a defensive sense, it’s good for you. I’ve been wanting to get my hands on the S&W 625 JM for a while, so I was holding back some giddiness when I picked it up from Mr. Guns gun shop and shooting range for the transfer. The S&W 625 JM revolver has its ups and downs, and I’m happy to be able to share my experience with you.
Pawn Shop Finds – The Blown Up Smith & Wesson Model 15
Last week, I was walking around in a local gun shop and they had an extremely blown up Smith & Wesson K-38 Combat Masterpiece (Model 15) in the case. I was immediately interested in the story behind this classic wheel gun. When I picked up the old Smith, I saw it wasn’t for sale sadly to see the overall damage from the explosion was rather impressive.
Wheelgun Wednesday: The Smith & Wesson 686 Plus Magnum
Welcome back to another edition of Wheelgun Wednesday! I love handguns, I didn’t grow up shooting them and the first time I ever got my hands on one I was already 12 years old and knee-deep into shooting rifles. The first handgun I had ever fired happened to be a Uberti 1873 Cattleman, a 12 shot .22 LR caliber revolver.

Reader's Choice BEST Compact Striker Fired Pistol: SIG Sauer P365 9mm
For the month of May, we challenged our readers with the difficult to define category of the “ BEST Compact Striker Fired Pistol” for the Reader’s Choice. We understand some of you disagreed with our definition of where the line should be drawn for a “Compact,” but the definition we used was any pistol that has a 4″ barrel or shorter, AND has a staggered or double-stacked magazine. For this month, we put out 8 of our own suggestions and you similarly provided us with 8 great suggestions through your Comments. The winner of the “ BEST Compact Striker Fired Pistol” for the Reader’s Choice was the… SIG Sauer P365 9mm!!! Most of us will undoubtedly acknowledge the popularity of the SIG Sauer P365, but what many shooters do not realize is this pistol is a staggered/double stack magazine. That is why it is so impressive the SIG Sauer P365 9mm is so tiny when it can hide 12 rounds of 9mm in its frame. The rest of the results for May’s “ BEST Compact Striker Fired Pistol” are…
