#RTF2

Glock has just announced that they are launching G17, G19 and G22 Gen 3 models with RTF2 grips. The G17 and G22 pistols will also have a standard or scalloped slide serration options. The reason they are offering these versions of their pistols is the huge demand from the fans of the brand. This will be a limited time and quantity offer. Glock also stated that the scalloped serration versions are also California compliant.

Back to the show. Apparently the Smyrna, GA team has realized how popular the Rough Textured Finish #2 (RTF2) and the curved slide serrations were with collectors. In what looks to be an upcoming release, Davidson’s is listing several pistol versions with the RTF2 and scalloped cuts.

Just a few hours ago Larry Vickers released a teaser video of his new special edition Lipsey’s Glocks that are to be formally announced tomorrow, but it looks like someone might have spilled the beans. There is the possibility that the retailer made an assumption about what the new LAV Glock is going to look like, but the photos lead me to believe that they are accurate.

Lipsey’s makes some very nice limited edition guns and this particular Glock 19 with Larry vickers parts is no exception. I have to say up front this is the best Glock I’ve ever handled, carried and shot.

Larry Vickers and Lipsey’s are at it again. They are making a limited run of RTF2 framed Glock 17 and Glock 19 this time in gray polymer.

The 9mm compact Glock 19 and .40 S&W compact Glock 23 will both be offered with the Rough Textured Frame (RTF2). This frame does not replace the standard Glock frame, better known as the 3rd Gen Frame, on the G19 and G23, but will be available as an option.

Next month the 9mm Glock 17 will be available with the RTF2 (Rough Textured Frame version #2) frame. The RTF2 frame is often called the “4th Generation” frame.
