NSWC Crane Selects Trijicon Handgun Reflex Sights for SOCOM

The Department of Defense has announced the award of an $8 million contract to the Michigan-based sight manufacturing company Trijicon for ‘handgun reflex sights’ on behalf of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane. The award fulfils the RFP to meet a specification for ‘Miniature Aiming Systems – Day Optic Sight’ posted back in September 2017. The sights are likely destined for SOCOM.

US Navy Awards Trijicon a Handgun Reflex Sight Contract

US Department of Defence has published on their website a contract award announcement telling about a US Navy contract awarded to Trijicon for delivery of handgun reflex sights. Although the model of the sight is not specified, I think it is safe to say that the subject of the contract is one of the Trijicon RMR red dot sights. Mount Up: ANR Design ANVL UKON RMR Base with BUIS

Kydex holster and stealth makers ANR Design has come up with a new mount for the Trijicon RMR when on long guns. Branded the ANVL, the picatinny rail attachment incorporates both front and rear back up iron sights that cowitness in the lower third of the RMR. The mount is designed to be run forward on the rail, similar to the distance from the shooters eye when using pistol sights. The front sight post is adjustable for elevation.
