Gun Review: Circle 10 5.45x39mm ALFAv2 AK Review

Circle 10 AK has made a name for itself in being a small, but high quality AK parts producer and designer within the industry. At that, the company is able to bring to market products that are economical as well, from the Scout Optic Mount, to the Alfa forward rail mount developed in conjunction with Manticore Arms. In addition, as an AK parts dealer on their own accord, Circle 10 AK has always known to be reputable and reliable among AK owners.

Review: Canik TP9 SF Black - Out "Glocking" a Glock

When the Editors sent out the Canik, I was in a profound state of “meh.” “Whop-de-doo,” I thought, “I can only write so much on so little substance.” Ignoring my original outlook, They sent me the gun anyways. With complete apathy, I received it and opened the box only to be surprised. Contained within that package was the first handgun I believe can out “Glock” and Glock.

Gun Review: Browning Black Label .380 1911

Simply curious in what the handgun could be, I requested the editors contact Browning for one of their smaller Black Label .380 1911’s. My initial request was met with skepticism as its known I am not a “1911 guy” (but now have training courtesy of Mr. Larry Vickers) and trepidation as we’ve handled the original model (not a Black Label) and to put it gently, was considered crud. My curiosity is insatiable so I am happy the editors relented and requested the handgun, which turned out a contrary result to originally held opinions.

Review: McNally Gen 4 Adjustable Glock Trigger

Another Glock trigger? Excellent. Variety is the spice of life. A Glock trigger designed by an Olympian and manufactured by only military vets? Now, I am keenly interested. Send one to me for review? Awww shucks…

Gun Review: Glock 40 Gen4 – A 10mm Long-Slide Red-Dot Big-Bore Hand-Cannon

Off the bat, I would call this the F-350 of handguns. Its a ridiculous amount of handgun for most everyday users and one would typically not drive one into the city. Its just unwieldy. But, there is a reason F350s are made as there are users who know what they need to get a big job done. That may be heavy payloads, hauling long-distance, or simply hauling *ss.

Lightning Review: Pride Fowler Industries (PFI) SOPS Compact Red Dot System

Recently, I had the pleasure of shooting with a red-dot on a handgun for the first time in earnest. Sent a G40 by Glock for review, we immediately started sourcing red dots for the review. With various companies booked up (or potentially concerned about the recoil), Pride Fowler Industries stepped up to the plate with their SOPS Compact Red Dot.

Review: Larry Vickers' 1911 Advanced Gunsmithing Class

It’s a class like this that gives one true appreciation for the craftsmanship of Nighthawk, Wilson Combat, and the other high-end 1911 manufacturers. I was naive to thinking that working for a firearms company, which we produce thousands of products each month on CNC and engineer and program new products daily would serve as a basis by which to leap into a properly hand-fit 1911.

Review: JL Billet 13″ MLOK Free-Float Handguard

Normally, when we writers are sent something for review we just mount it on the first available gun, do our shooting, and often enough, the part gets relegated to an ever-increasing parts bin until we are able to build the next franken-gun. Never before have I been inspired to build a gun around a part until sent the JL Billet MLOK Handguard.

Review: Hatsan .30 Carnivore QE Air Rifle

“Big bore” and “air rifle” are not two combinations I see in a sentence very often, but new releases in the air rifle world are pushing bores and performance higher and higher. Hatsan of Turkey is part of that crowd, having recently released the “Carnivore” line of big-bore air rifles in .30 and .357 (9mm) sizes. When asked if we wanted to review one, we simply could turn down the chance to see if .22LR would finally be knocked off its perch.
