Nikon Sport Optics announced a new laser rangefinder the company is calling “revolutionary.” The new Monarch 7i VR incorporates vibration reduction (VR) technology into the unit to compensate for the human body’s normal small movements that can hinder a clear view of your target.

In time for hunting season, Nikon announced it is now shipping a number of new field scopes in its Monarch line of optics. The Monarch line is the company’s top tier sporting optic family, and these scopes are the first field scopes to bear the Monarch name.

Bushnell continues to expand and grow their line of LRHSi optics. This is slowly centering themselves as a stronger competitor against the likes of Leupold, Vortex, and Nikon which are some of the most recognizable names in the industry.

Nikon has announced the release of their BDC reticle in the First Focal Plane. Touted as the “Distance Lock” function, the FFP scopes are now available across a variety of scopes with different capabilities.

Nikon has announced the upcoming release of their MONARCH 5 (all CAPS theirs, not mine) line of riflescopes. The new Monarch line is set up around Nikon’s new “Advanced BDC” reticle which is designed for each correction of wind drift.

Ooo… Aaaa… Another rifle-scope for budget-oriented shooters. Snark aside, Nikon has announced the release of the Buckmasters II series of rifle-scopes. Problem is, the scopes look to be great value, especially for those who like BDC reticles. I have the same reticle in my rimfire optics and have come to love them (in no wind conditions).

Nikon has proven that not everything in the .308 or larger caliber world has to be that expensive. They have just released their P-308 riflescope, a dedicated BDC-reticle optic with 4-12x zoom and a 40mm objective lens. The BDC-800 reticle is specifically set-up for the .308 WIN 168-grain HBT Match bullet at 2,680 fps.

Nikon announced the company is now selling a 1.5-6x 32 scope with a 30mm main tube that is specially designed for the 300 BLK cartridge.  The M-300 BLK scope uses the Nikon BDC SuperSub illuminated reticle.  Illumination is adjustable with 32 levels of intensity.  The reticle is marked in 50 yard increments (hashes) and 100 yard increments (open dots.)  A non-illuminated reticle is also available.

Designed for long range accuracy, the new Nikon P-223 is a new rifle scope that claims to be at the top of the list of quality glass for the AR-type rifles.

Nikon is the latest company to roll out a specific bit of gear designed around the .300 AAC Blackout cartridge.  The P-300 is a rifle scope that is specifically designed for AR-style rifles chambered for the 300 BLK round.

Nikon has launched a handy online application called “Spot On”. A user can select the Nikon scope and the ammunition they are using and then application will then generate a variety of printable charts and tables for the user to use at the range or in the field.
