Magnum Research announced the introduction of four Desert Eagle 1911 guns to be sold exclusively through the outdoor retailer Cabela’s.

Adding to the Magnum Lite line, Magnum Research has released the MLR Ultra .22LR.  It features a modular tension-type barrel made from very high quality steel. One variant of the rifle is also threaded for muzzle devices or a suppressor. Having shot some of their rimfire rifles, they are very well made and quite accurate.  So I have no doubt that Magnum Research will continue with that quality with this new rifle.

The Olympics are long over, but the Desert Eagle has still taken bronze.  Well, a bronze Cerakote finish anyway.

Magnum Research is reintroducing the long 10″ barred version of the Desert Eagle. The Desert Eagle has a fixed barrel with a picatinny rail for optics, making it a good handgun hunting platform. The 10″ barrel will increase the velocity of the .50 AE or .44 Magnum rounds it fires.

Magnum Research, a subsidiary of Kahr Arms, is getting into the accessory business. Their first accessory in the Glacier Ridge line is a thumbhole stock for the Ruger 10/22.

Magnum Research has apparently re-engineered their Magnum Lite .22 Magnum rifles. The Magnum Lite are high-end clones of the Ruger 10/22 and chambered in .22 WMR.

Magnum Research’s latest Magnum Lite (premium/target Ruger 10/22 clone) is the MLR22AT.

Since 2009 all Desert Eagles have been produced in Magnum Research’s Pillager, Minn. facility. Magnum Research / Kahr will be selling a limited edition of the Desert Eagle featuring original (“classic”) parts made by IWI in Israel. These pistols will have the original two-piece barrel and claw-type safety.

Without much fanfare, Magnum Research has been manufacturing a licensed clone of the Walther P99 pistol called the MR “Fast Action” pistol. The polymer frames and steel accessory rail are made by Walther in Germany and shipped to the USA where the slide, barrel and other internal parts are made. It is functionally identical to the Walther P99.

Kahr has just announced that they have purchased Magnum Research, the company best know for manufacturing the Desert Eagle. This acquisition allows Kahr to move into the lucrative full size pistol market.

Magnum Research is manufacturing a 1911 which will go on sale next year! Two sized model will be on offer.

I missed the announcement for the Micro Desert Eagle, but I think it came out in mid November.
