Mission First Tactical Releases Mandalorian Beskar-Themed Magazine
Mission First Tactical, or MFT for short, produces a wide variety of firearms-related components and accessories. From buttstocks and grips, to rail systems and muzzle devices, to holsters and more, their product catalogue covers a fair amount of ground. Among MFT’s product lines is a series of polymer AR magazines. Their standard Extreme Duty (EXD) 30-round mags carry a $12.99 MSRP, but MFT has produced several dozen special edition versions with various graphics printed on the bodies. Their “Magazine of the Month” releases avail a limited run of one of these special designs, and now MFT has announced their latest version. In honor of the Star Wars “May the Fourth Be with You” homage, their May 2023 monthly offering displays a Beskar-pattern graphic, as a nod to the TV series “The Mandalorian”. Check out MFT’s press release below for details.
Turns Out, Using Your Mags Is Really The Only Thing That Degrades Them
Part of what I love about being a gun nerd is meeting other people who are willing to go to extreme lengths to test out concepts, and theories, or maybe even just to get a solid set of raw data. A couple of weeks ago, Paul from Ammunition To Go, an online ammunition retailer, reached out to me to share some of their extensive magazine testing data with the hopes that their real-world, and lab-tested results could help people determine exactly what keeps mags running for the longest. Below are just a few highlights that stood out to me, but if you’d like to read the entire article by David Lewis, you can check it out here.

Product Announcement: The Shield Arms Glock 43 Z9 Magazine
Not too long ago Shield Arms released the S15 Magazine for the Glock 43X. This revolutionary little mag brought the 10rd capacity of the slim pistol to 15, in line with its fatter older brother, the Glock 19. On the 18th of May, Shield Arms will be adding the Glock 43 Z9 magazine to their lineup. As the name implies, this is for the standard Glock 43 and brings the capacity up to 9 rounds in a mag that’s the same size as the OEM mag with a pinky extension. Our favorite guntuber James Reeves has a video showcasing this new mag. I suggest you give it a watch.
