Legacy Sports (which includes brands like Citadel, Kryptek, and Howa) has introduced the Pointer break-action shotgun. The Pointer break-action is a no-nonsense kind of firearm, using the simplest operation for a cartridge-base firearm possible: hammer-fired, single-action, break-action.

Legacy Sports International, the company that carries the Howa, Escort, Citadel, and Yote lines, among others, is coming out with a new O/U shotgun. Many shooters prefer O/U shotguns for their versatility, balance, and simple maintenance (not to mention how easy it is to retrieve spent shells). The new gun was designed with trap and sporting clay shooters in mind and is called The Clays. MSRP $997.00.

Legacy has come out with a new camouflage pattern that’s sure to garner interest from hunters. It’s called Yote, which is short for Coyote, and is designed to mimic the fur of the aforementioned predator. New camo patterns are always interesting and this one promises to raise interest and create discussion as to its effectiveness. As a hunter myself I’m always interested in the best possible ways to blend in and take down game without giving myself away, and that makes Yote worth a closer look.

The much hyped “World’s Lightest Shotgun” was unveiled at SHOT Show. It is a Benelli Legacy scaled down to the 28 gauge cartridge and named the Legacy 28. The low weight has been achieved mainly because of the scaled-down action but also by the use of a low capacity magazine (2+1 compared with the Legacy standard 4+1) and use of a carbon fiber rib.
