[SHOT 2023] Allegheny Gun Works (AGW) XM9 Hushpuppy Project

The Hushpuppy Beretta pistol is a holy grail for some. A few years ago, Knights Armament opened up their vaults and sold a limited run of these pistols. They sold for $8,500. Well for those of you who missed out on the Knight’s Armament XM9 Hushpuppy there will be an alternate solution coming soon. Josh Rowe of Allegheny Gun Works (AGW) is working on his own XM9 Hushpuppy project.

POTD: Knights Armament Co's E3.2 Bolt

It’s interesting how a simple thing like a bolt can be such a beautiful thing! Don’t you agree that these images would be great as paintings in your living room? Or at least as decoration in your reloading room? TFB’s Photo Of The Day is on a mission to collect high-quality photos from the world of firearms, and Knights Armament Co‘s E3.2 bolt is of course worthy. Just look at the shape below!

Friday Night Lights: NVD KAC UNS(R)SR Night Vision Clip-On

Welcome back to another Friday Night Lights. This week we take a look at a somewhat uncommon night vision clip-on. It is thanks to Night Vision Devices that I get to check out the KAC UNS®SR for this review. The UNS®SR stands for Universal Night Sight Short Range. But what does that mean and what can it do? Let’s find out.

Knights Armament Teases New Variant of SR15 Rifle

On December 10th, Knights Armament Co released a teaser video on their YouTube channel showcasing yet another variant of their SR15 rifle. The new rifle supposedly dubbed the SR15.5 looks to be in development and my hunch is that we should expect to hear more about the rifle and its improvements over the standard SR15 sometime early next year when the SHOT Show would normally happen.

Sentinel Concepts: Practical Urban Carbine

I attended Practical Urban Carbine (PUC) with Sentinel Concepts in Alliance, Ohio. Steve Fisher, the owner of Sentinel Concepts, brought an incredible depth of knowledge to the course. After realizing many in his carbine courses had minimal understanding of their carbines past 50-100 yards, Steve developed PUC. The US Census Bureau showed 80% of the US population lived in Urban Areas. An urban area was defined as a densely populated environment within an area encompassing 200-300 yards. As carbines are commonly used as a defensive tool, focusing on 50 yards and in makes little sense when the weapon is far more capable and urban areas expand past those distances. Local buildings were discussed that provided shots up to 300 yards, along with parking lots and outside venues we frequent on a regular basis.

Unicorn Guns: KAC Snap On Suppressor Beretta

There are only a couple of times that I have been truly in awe when looking at a firearm, this was one of those times. The KAC Snap On Suppressor Beretta is about as rare as pistols come and to find an unfired one is like finding the Tooth Fairy’s house then having tea with him. Sure, it is only a Beretta 92f with some extra bits stuck on it, but those extra bits make it so much cooler than anything you might find in the gun stores today.
