Pardini TR20 Semi-Auto Rimfire Rifle

Founded in 1976 by Italian competition shooter Giampiero Pardini,  Pardini Armi is a manufacturer of competition shooting air guns and firearms. One of the most popular products of Pardini Armi is the SP rimfire target pistol. Based on this successful design, the company has developed a new semi-automatic rimfire carbine called TR20. Particularly, the Pardini TR20 shares the blowback action and the adjustable trigger with the SP pistol. Reportedly, additive manufacturing technologies are extensively used in the production of this carbine.

Italian FABARM (Fabbrica Bresciana Armi) first published pictures of their new SDASS PRO Stage 2 pump action shotguns at the beginning of the year and now they have added them to the Law Enforcement section of their website. This new generation of SDASS (Special Defence And Security Shotgun) shotguns currently includes two models – SDASS PRO Forces Stage 2 and  SDASS PRO Telescopic Stage 2. The main difference between the two models is in the furniture design.

POTD: Italian Paratroopers with SCP70 Rifles

[IWA 2022] An Affordable LOW Bore Axis Italian Pistol! The Revo Arms IS-9

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at IWA 2022 with the creator of the Revo Arms IS-9, the lowest bore axis pistol that still uses a conventional Browning short barrel recoil system. This Italian pistol will be a polymer-framed striker-fired handgun that will also use a serialized fire control unit/chassis, meaning that the fire control unit can be swapped to any compatible frame without having to buy another firearm – just buy the frame and swap the FCU. Best of all, it looks like it will be competitive with other polymer-framed striker-fired handguns in its class.

POTD: The Mystery Beretta mod. 70/78 (1978)

Sometimes the purpose of TFB’s Photo Of The Day is to share the latest news with our readers, sometimes we present important historic events or firearms from a pre-digital age. Today’s photo is from the Beretta vaults. It’s called mod. 70/78 (1978), but we know very little about it. In fact, we know nothing. Using search engines was of little help. The rifle looks like a work of art and reminds me a little of the Swiss SIG 550. It looks like it has a built-in bipod on the front of the handguard.

Beretta, in particular, is famous for being the oldest active manufacturer of firearms in the world with the company being established back in the 16th century, nearly 500 years ago. While Giorgio is nowhere near that old, he is very familiar with Italian firearms law and culture because that is where he was born and raised. Today Giorgio and I talk about some of his experience and knowledge surrounding the Italian firearms world as well as some of his thoughts on what the future of Italian firearms culture and law will look like in the years to come.
