It seems someone was inspired to make a quick $400 for charity at a local police gun ‘give back’ in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

WeaponsMan picked up on a rather interesting modified firearm that was turned in at a Tampa Florida gun buy-back. It was a .22 bolt-action rifle built into a flute.

The below are machine pistols of a design that were being produced and distributed by criminal networks in Sweden. Apparently specifications for many of the parts were simply sent off to various machine shops and ordered as ‘boat components’. All examples are smooth bore, chambered in 9mm luger and full auto only.

Some glorious individual decided to take a duffel bag full of improvised slam-fire shotguns (of legal length) to a local gun buyback which was offering $50 for each gun handed in.

A number of factories raided by police near the Uttar Pradesh/Haryana boarder in India appear to have been producing copies of the Jaco Western pistol, a popular DIY design published in 1972 and sold via mail order in the USA.

YouTube gun design entrepreneur and kluger Royal Nonesuch is at it again, this time with a bolt-action shotgun. Claimed to be 90% complete, it features parts from a variety of sources. Mr. Nonesuch uses an HK lower receiver and parts group, Saiga magazine, AK-47 under-folder, and an AR-15 stock riser used as a fore-end.

Boys will always be boys. Before guns they made pretend swords out of sticks. Before swords they made clubs. The invention of the gun presented unique challenges to boys the world over. My attempts at building a gun involved a lot of elastic and usually ended up being inefficient crossbows. Kids today have it easy. They just walk into a store (or Amazon.com) and buy a nerf gun.

Ryan emailed in this photo of a fascinating pistol. It appears to be a homemade open bolt machine gun revolver.

This pistol belonged to a member of EOKA, a group who fought against the British and Turkish for Cypriot independence during the 1950’s.

Michael Z. Williamson has posted photos of a Build Party Weekend during which he and a bunch of other guys made and repaired guns. During the weekend Mike made the receiver and some of the internals of the below AK.

James found this photos of a pair of homemade pistols that appear to be chambered in .303 British! Apparently they, along with the cartridges, were confiscated from some students. Can you imagine the blast of burning power that must shoot out of these!

Daniel Eindhoven has build a very sci-fi looking semi-automatic coil gun.

The Election-Gun-Buying-Mania does not appear to be purely an American phenomenon. The black market in India have seen prices for guns double since before the general election. The arms dealers claim the spike in demand is attributed to the various political factions arming themselves. The Telegraph of India reports:
