Henry Raises Over $47,000 For 3-Year-Old Battling Leukemia
Recently TFB reported that Henry Repeating Arms had launched a fundraising initiative to help the family of Preslie Mantsch, a Michigan child who was diagnosed with Leukemia earlier this year. They had produced 65 special edition .22 Golden Boy rifles with PRESLIE01 to PRESLIE65 serial numbers, and a “Prayers for Preslie” logo on the stock. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the direct sale of 63 of the rifles, as well as Gunbroker auctions for the final two, were to be donated to the Mantsch family to assist with the cost of Preslie’s cancer treatment. This “ Guns for Great Causes” campaign has been completed, with the sale of all Preslie firearms and the end of the two auctions. Direct sales accounted for more than $38,000 raised, and the auctions for the first and last serials fetched another $8,600. Henry has issued the following press release about this heart-warming effort.

What's Wrong with Lever Guns?
Imagine an alternate universe in which Hollywood has spent decades making genre movies in which every single main character uses a Borchardt C93, and now factories are cranking out almost nothing but cast steel facsimiles of Borchardts to meet the demand based entirely on these movies. All other semiauto pistol designs never took off in sales and remained curios with the exception of the Roth-Steyr M1907 which had a production run of about a million units over a century, and which hasn’t been made since 1997. The other exception is the Gabbett-Fairfax Mars, which remains in limited production and is used only where people need more power than 7.65mm Borchardt.
Henry Golden Boy Military Service Tribute Edition
Henry Repeating Arms has put together a beautiful special edition of their Golden Boy lever action. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will be given to the The American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Wounded Warrior Project and the Fisher House for military families.
