The EG-19 is TYPE-A’s take on a modified Glock 19. It comes with a number of upgrades over a standard Glock 19 that certainly improve the overall shooting experience and feel of the pistol in my opinion. Back in December I first got my hands on the TYPE-A EG-19 pistol and on Wednesday we published the first part of my review of this pistol. This is Part 2 of the TYPE-A EG-19 pistol review.

Strike Industries has started to delve into producing its own magazines for popular platforms like the AR-15. Now they’re getting into handguns with their first-ever polymer G19 Strike Mag. Featuring a standard capacity of 15 rounds, the Strike mag is compatible with all generations of Glock 19 pistols and is also compatible with Strike Industries baseplate magazine extensions. Strike Industries says that these new magazines are extremely durable, and also compatible with a wide variety of defensive handgun ammunition.

On the floor of the SHOT Show 2024, stood a multitude of Turkish firearms manufacturers, all seeming to offer a similar range of products. But keen observers interested in the nuanced craft of firearms creation would notice unique details that differentiate one from the other. One such standout was Barak Arms, as it unveiled its fresh-off-the-line G19 pattern pistols, MT19, designed with removable grips, an innovation that sets it apart from other exhibitors.

Brownells has released new versions of their Gen 3 Glock slides that are milled to take Aimpoint ACRO P-1 red dot sights. The ACRO cut is machined directly into the slide and oriented as low as possible still retaining the compatibility with OEM Glock slide parts.

Another new product from Strike Industries! And this time it is a Glock 19 Gen 3 slide called ARK Slide. This is a lightweight slide that also offers a lot of other useful features such as the optics cut, front serrations and angled surfaces designed to improve the performance and make the slide manipulations easier and faster.

Alongside the new G45, GLOCK is announcing a few additions to the modular optic-ready lineup.The G17 MOS and G19 MOS both get the Gen5 treatment. But like their G45 cousin, the new GLOCKs are also blessed with forward slide serrations and the deletion of the grip cutout on the front strap. The new MOS pistols will be available for purchase in less than two weeks.

First introduced at  TriggrCon 2018 arms exhibition,  Grey Ghost Precision Combat Pistol is now available for preorder. In order to avoid confusion, let me tell you right away that mechanically this is not a new handgun but rather a highly customized compact size Glock (G19). This pistol is packed with so many custom features and has such a unique appearance, that it can be easily mistaken for a new design.

After long decades of mainly using pistols locally made by Forjas Taurus, Brazilian LE agencies have been turning their attention to products from overseas manufacturers, mainly in the wake of multiple reports of technical/safety issues with the “bull brand” weapons. It should be recalled that IMBEL – Indústria de Material Bélico do Brasil has been a longtime supplier of pistols for the armed forces and  some police forces, but, somehow, their single-action M1911-based guns are not so popular in the local LE scenario, although some models have been adopted by local agencies.

Earlier we reported about the Umarex announcement of their agreement with Glock of manufacturing licensed airsoft and BB Glock replicas. Now, Umarex has added the Glock branded airguns to their website and released videos showcasing these new pistols. Let’s take a look at key features and the released model line.

We all know that Glocks are the glorified tinkerer-toy of the handgun world. With decades of reliability, law enforcement backing and an abundance of aftermarket parts, many manufacturers want to get in on the game.

Glock has just announced that they are launching G17, G19 and G22 Gen 3 models with RTF2 grips. The G17 and G22 pistols will also have a standard or scalloped slide serration options. The reason they are offering these versions of their pistols is the huge demand from the fans of the brand. This will be a limited time and quantity offer. Glock also stated that the scalloped serration versions are also California compliant.

Finally, the firearms industry’s best-worst kept secret is now official. We no longer have to use hushed voices or sneak into the shadows to discuss finger grooves and ambidextrous slide release stop levers (ok, I never did either of those things). The Gen5 GLOCK pistols are set to be released publicly in both G17 and G19 models in a matter of days. And by some devine blessing from the 9mm gods, TFB is lucky enough to have two sets of the new handguns for review.

Yes, it’s real. The hotly anticipated fifth generation of GLOCK pistols is set to become publicly available in a matter of days. For die hard fans like myself, most of the features of the new Gen5 G17 and G19 models will come as little surprise – they are all found on the heavily reported ‘M’ line of government contract pistols we have all seen ad naseum over the past year. So, if you are on the edge of your seat, waiting for a ultra-dramatic reveal of a carbine, single stack G19 or a G43-sized .40S&W, you are just going to have to simmer down and adjust your expectations.

The defense magazine European Security & Defence has published an article detailing for the first time Glock’s Modular Handgun System submission and its Federal-engineered ammunition. The article – part technical overview, part interview, details the recent history of Glock’s MHS submission, the technical characteristics of their Glock 19 MHS and 23 MHS pistols, and the current feeling among Glock executives about their second place finish in the competition.
