If you are one of those people who participates in reindeer games in the dark (get your head out of the gutter, we’re talking about night vision here), then you will be glad to hear that you have yet another choice when it comes to selecting your ballistic helmet for all of the gear on your noggin. The new Premier Body Armor Fortis Ballistic Helmet looks to be a legitimate contender as a night vision host and to protect one of your most valuable assets – your brain.

Fortis Manufacturing came up with an enhanced design of the AR-15 castle nut and end plate. They call this new product Lightweight Enhanced (LE™) Castle Nut & End Plate System. The idea behind this system is to provide a secure and robust installation of the two parts minimizing or eliminating the chances of the castle nut to come loose. Let’s take a closer look and see how they accomplished it.

Fortis Manufacturing has just released their light weight collapsible AR15 stock in a limited sale that sold out in just a few hours. The LA Stock features a carbon fiber cheek piece and unique styling for a precision cut look. I really like it.

When Phil told me I would be getting another AR-15 in for review, I found myself dreading the arrival of yet another black rifle. In my mind, there is only so much that you can do with the AR-15 platform that would come even remotely close to impressing me. Once the MGS Citizen Rifle showed up at my FFL, a quick glance over the rifle revealed that while it was a very nice collection of parts, the only clue that the rifle held a secret power was the rifle length gas tube stuck to a 16″ Criterion 1:8″ twist barrel.

Switzerland, a country with gun laws that would make a lot of (but far from all) Americans jealous. What a great country to get represented by this Blitz SBR!

Let’s go a bit more into detail with one of the “Country Rifles” made by Rainier Arms for the IWA 2016 exhibition in Germany.

Fortis Manufacturing has released the first of their new SWITCH rail systems. In a similar vein to DRD Tactical’s quick-rail systems, the SWITCH uses a clamp and proprietary barrel nut to allow the user to quickly don and d’off the rail.

It is no secret than Vltor Weapon Systems have been working on the Fortis Pistol, a clone of the infamous Bren Ten. They have just announced that they have acquired the right to use the Bren Ten name and the Fortis Pistol will be released as the Bren Ten.

The Vltor Fortis is a updated clone of the Bren Ten 10mm Auto pistol (Which itself was a CZ 75 clone). It was announced last year at SHOT. This year a final production model has been on display. It will be available in both 10mm AUTO and .45 ACP. It should be on sale later this year (2009).
