ADIHEX is always a good chance for the Emirati firearm manufacturer Caracal to show its products to the public, in their hometown of Abu Dhabi, UAE. This year, together with military firearms, polymer pistols, and Merkel hunting rifles, the company showcased a special pistol meant to celebrate the 50 years of the United Arab Emirates.

Cobalt Kinetics has taken their Edge rifle and bathed it in some wintery goodness. With extra embellishments on the rifle and a new finish, they are releasing a “ Winter Limited Edition” run for 2019 that is limited to just 50 firearms. This rifle is extremely similar to their traditional Edge rifle, but with that frosty curb appeal for the winter shooter. Some of the specifications for this rifle, as presented by Cobalt Kinetics, can be read below:

Brigand Arms, a company well known for designing  carbon fiber firearm accessories, now offers a new carbon fiber handguard series called Carbon Black. Right now, there are two models of the Carbon Black handguards available: Carbon Black EDGE and Carbon Black BLADE. These handguards were earlier introduced at SHOT Show 2018 and now they are available for purchase.

The Department of Homeland Security has begun rolling out their virtual school shooter training program to staff working at schools across the US.

The latest, just-released SAINT Edge has been upgraded with a number of proprietary features custom built for this rifle.

Cobalt Kinetics, known for their cutting-edge and futuristic looking AR-15 rifles, will now be selling their parts and accessories to the general public. It is starting out as more simple offerings like stocks, muzzle brakes and other small pieces. This is just the beginning according to Cobalt Kinetics since they have expressed to continue to release more and more pieces to the public as time goes on.

Cobalt Kinetics has been busy – the Utah based rifle maker recently announced the expansion of their CARS reloading/chambering system a few weeks ago. And now they are announcing the new Edge Scout, a base model rifle designed with the style and features of the rest of their line, but targeting a lower budget bracket.

Savage has just introduced a new budget entry-level hunting rifle called the Savage Edge. The action is a brand new design and not based on Savage’s other entry rifle, the Stevens 200.
