Welcome back to The Rimfire Report. In this ongoing series of articles we explore, discuss, and examine various firearms, ammunition, and topics surrounding the rimfire world. This week I’ll be sharing my recent backpack gun build – a Ruger 10/22 Charger. The intention for this gun is to be an easily stowed and easily deployed platform that can be used in a pinch to hunt small game.
NEW Ruger PC Charger Review – 9mm Micro Subgun
In this episode of TFBTV, Hop takes the brand new Ruger PC Charger for a spin. The PC Charger is a pistol variant of the Ruger PC Carbine, much like the original Charger is a pistol variant of the 10/22. When fully kitted out with a brace and red dot, the PC Charger is a capable 9mm micro subgun.

The Ruger 10/22 rifle (and pistol) has become the quintessential firearm when it comes to shooting .22 LR and has become one of the most common rimfire guns in North America. There are other semi-automatic .22 LR rifles, but it’s clear that the gun owners and the aftermarket have heavily favored the 10/22. First released in 1964, the Ruger 10/22 made a splash in firearms community that would help hunters, plinkers and countless newcomers learning marksmanship and gun handling for the next 55 years and beyond.
Ruger Announces Silent-SR ISB Integrally Suppressed Barrel
Continuing our march towards “normalizing” silencers within the gun industry, rimfire powerhouse Ruger is manufacturing the Silent-SR ISB – an integrally suppressed barrel assembly for the 10/22 and Charger platforms. Although I will avoid Hearing Protection Act (HPA) hopes-and-dreams discussions, the fact that a major firearms company is building such unique suppressors hopefully signifies an important milestone in broader NFA ownership.

KickStarter Object of Desire: Twelve Gauge Phone Charger
Just in case bullet air valve covers, revolver cylinder shift knobs, NRA bumper stickers, bullet hole decals, etc…etc… etc… were not enough, KickStarter has yet another firearm-themed item (that somehow made it through their Terms & Conditions). The Twelve Gauge Phone Charger is aptly named, as its just as described. Basically, a Fiocchi shell, primer punched out, with a USB dongle hanging out the rear.
Ruger's New Charger Pistols
Ruger is now shipping two new Charger pistols. The first is a reworked base model, while the second is a take-down version of the gun.

The Archangel Pistol Deluxe is a stock and rail system for the .22 Ruger Charger pistol (The Charger is the version of the Ruger 10/22 rifle).
Volquartsen's Forward Blow Stabilization Module
Volquartsen Custom is selling an interesting muzzle break. It is called the Forward Blow Stabilization Module and is designed for Ruger 10/22 rifles and Charger pistols, but will fit any rifle with .905 – .925″ diameter rimfire bull barrel.
