INTERACT-"Shooting The IDF Way" 10 Part FB Live Series
Command Arms Accessories is currently showing a 10 part Facebook Live series narrated by Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Mikey Hartman, discussing Israeli Defense Force combat marksmanship programs, of which Hartman himself was professionally involved in throughout his entire career in the IDF. The first episode was filmed and released on Friday, May 26th at 1 PM, and the rest of the episodes will be released in the upcoming months, with each episode being released on the last week of each ensuing month. The episodes are titled as follows- Seven Laws of Shooting, Ballistics, and Zeroing, Standing Position, Kneeling Position and Sitting Position, Charging the weapon, Scenario, Dealing with Stoppages, Night Shooting, and Sharpshooting the IDF Way. The first episode and ensuing episodes can be viewed on CAA’s Facebook page. If readers have been tracking Hartman’s “Train The Trainer” classes, the Facebook Live series appears to be very similar when it comes to material.
CAA Micro RONI for the Stormtrooper In You
Love them or hate them, there is little denying that the RONI kits for the Glock pistol are extremely popular with the shooting public. Made by CAA, these kits come in a variety of sizes with a range of options to accessorize your Glock handgun. One of the latest is the limited edition Micro RONI Stabilizer Advanced Kit White. Whew…that’s a heck of a name.
Hartman MH1 Reflex Sight | SHOT 2017
Designed as the next step in reflex sights by retired Lt. Col. Mikey Hartman, the new MH1 incorporates some forward-thinking features that Mikey felt should be on a reflex sight based on 20 years as the commander of the IDF’s Marksmanship and Sharpshooting School. He not only trained over half a million soldiers, but also founded the school and wrote much of the training doctrine in use by the IDF. The new reticle and the ability to program the sight set it apart from the others on the market.
Current usage of the CAA Roni
Converting handguns into a carbine like form is nothing new, going back at least to the Civil War with various attempts at installing a stock and longer barrel on revolvers in use at the time. Command Arms Accessories has been brining to market their Roni kit for several years now, but is there any actual use of it outside of recreational conversions? Examples from Iraq and India have shown the conversion kit in active usage by some soldiers within the Iraqi Army, and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland, a separatist group in India. I can’t find the photograph that showed an Iraqi soldier with the Roni, but instead found one of a soldier in an Iraqi uniform shooting it at a shooting range. In addition I’ve shown a number of Ronis that have appeared on the Iraqi small arms market, some outfitted to Glock 17s, and others to what appears to be a Walther P99 handgun.
CAA Micro RONI Now Shipping
Not too long ago we reviewed the non-NFA RONI for the Glock 17 and found it to be a pretty good option if you are looking for such a thing. Shortly after that review was finished up, CAA announced the Micro RONI that appeared to be geared more towards LEO and MIL use.
CAA New Micro RONI
CAA brought out 3D printed prototypes of the Micro RONI at last Big 3 East. Just recently, CAA posted up this commercial for their Micro Roni. From the video it looks like it is much easier to install a Glock pistol. Instead of opening an entire side of the Roni, you just lower a trap door and insert the Glock up and into the Micro RONI chassis. The drop leg holster for the Micro Roni is interesting.
Review: CAA Roni Civilian Pistol Carbine Conversion | Non-NFA
CAA has recently expanded their RONI line with a new non-NFA option for those that want a proper stock but refuse to file a stamp. Recently I reviewed the Lock, Stock, and Barrel carbine conversion and found it lacking in a few areas, based on a cursory look at the RONI chassis I feel like this might feel more like a rifle for those looking to turn their pistol into a rifle.
[Big 3 East] CAA Roni and Micro Roni
Israeli accessory company, CAA came to the Big 3 East for the first time and they did not disappoint. They brought out their newest versions of the Roni carbine stock.
ZBROYAR – 10.5″ SBR AR-15 from Ukraine
I discovered this Ukranian Short-Barrelled Rifle at a Swedish dealer.
