Earlier, we have reported about the Brownells’ launch of retro M16A1 build components. The recently released videos by Chris Bartocci of Small Arms Solution is a good followup to this subject. Let’s see what the former Colt employee and renown AR-15 expert thinks about these parts and how he builds the rifle.

Brownells has launched a video advertisement campaign where they tell about the best deals (sales, discounts, and whatnot) in between made up news with a good amount of humor and parody. “Fake News, Real Deals” – Brownells’ motto for this new project tells it all. The show will be aired every Wednesday and Sunday.

Brownells announced that it partnered with Polymer80 to offer a number of exclusive pistol frames. The frames are unfinished (aka 80% frames) meaning the buyer would need to finish them prior to building a pistol. Once completed, the buyer can finish the build with either Glock 17-size parts (for the larger frame) or Glock 19-size parts (for the smaller frame) to make a functioning firearm.

Brownells, the go-to shop for gunsmithing supplies, recently began to sell its own third generation Glock pistol slides (not compatible with Gen4 or newer guns.) The first offering from the company was a slide with a cut for a Trijicon RMR sight. Additional slides have been added that do not have that cut and are designed for traditional “iron” sights alone.

I’m not gonna lie, I am super excited to see more retro AR-15 parts like new production retro M16A1 furniture hit the market since M16A1 kits have become very hard to come across in good, complete condition and they often cost nearly as much as a complete rifle.

It isn’t a secret that the standard collapsible stock on an AR-15 can be a bit on the weak side thanks to the pin that holds the stock in place.
