Keyfob Gun
So some of you may have seen this. I haven’t before. A gun disguised as a key fob was found by police. Pulling the key ring resets the firing pins. Then you press the buttons on top to release them and the gun fires. This would be considered an AOW (Any Other Weapon)
Kingsman Pistol
Did you watch the film Kingsman: The Secret Service? In the film, the Kingsman Agents use a modified Russian Tokarev TT-30 pistol. The prop master added a shotgun barrel. It was never used in the film but it was explained that it can shoot shotgun shells. Do you think it could work? It would be interesting to see a working version. But I do not see how you could fit a working firing pin in such little space.
Proposition to merge ATF into FBI
Bridging on the political side of things slightly, but only because this directly affects all suppressor/SBR/ Class three/ AOW owners/dealers out there, a think tank by the name of Center for American Progress released a throughly researched and 2 years in the making report that recommends dissolving ATF into the FBI. This isn’t a new concept by any means, President Reagan once proposed a similar plan. But it is coming from a very legitimate and research backed report instead of political rhetoric. Some of the points from a Washington Post article read that-
14″ Mossberg Non-NFA Scattergun
Under current ATF rulings, its possible to create a non-NFA firearm that uses shotgun rounds (note, I did not say “shotgun” which refers to a specific legal definition). By never mounting a stock to a receiver and keeping the over-all length over 26″, Shockwave technologies Raptor grips keep a scattergun legal to own. Users who purchase these must keep the grips on, otherwise they become an AOW requiring registration.
Llama Pressin Double Barreled AOW
I found these images in a Facebook group but the person who posted them did not know their origins and was trying to find more information.
The Spear Mag
Demolition Ranch tries to out perform the Bow-mag. Demolition Ranch thinks the problem is constraining the explosion of gun powder. To solve this problem, he takes a Glock barrel and puts it inside a wooden shovel handle. He rigs it up so when he throws the spear shaped object, the Glock barrel will push the bullet back into a nail and fire the round. The results are quite surprising. Oh, and do not try this at home.
Robinson XCR explains NFA Rules on Pistols
Here is a simple chart that can help explain the nuances of an AR type pistol. The pistol is a 10″ Robinson Armament XCR.
12 Gauge Beretta 92: The Franklin Armory Convert
Franklin Armory is selling a single-shot, 12 gauge conversion for the Beretta 92/96 series and Taurus 92 series pistols called the Convert. According to Franklin Armory, the Convert is available in two models: an AOW (any other weapon) and as a flare launcher.
Safety Harbor Firearms Kompact Entry Gun (AOW)
Safety Harbor Firearms manufacture the Kompact Entry Gun (KEG) short barrel pistol-gripped shotguns build upon Mossberg 500 and Remington 870 receivers. Their guns are classed as AOW (All Other Weapons) and so do not carry the hefty $200 stamp required to purchase Short Barreled Shotguns in the USA. An AOW stamp is $5.
Franklin Armory XO-26b: Has Franklin Hacked the NFA?
Franklin Armory is producing a weird AR-15 they call the XO-26. It is essentially a Short Barreled Rifle with a vertical foregrip and no stock. What is especially interesting is that the BATFE don’t consider it a SBR (Short Barreled Rifle) or a AOW (All Other Weapon) therefore is needs no special NFA paperwork to purchase and own. If it was classified as a pistol, like all other short barreled pistol-type AR-15s, using a forward vertical grip would be illegal. I can see other AR-15 pistol makers jumping on this BATFE ruling and producing their own quasi-pistol AR-15s.
CSG Maglite Flashlight Gun
AutoWeapons.com is selling a AOW gun, called the CSG Companion, that chambers a single .410 shot gun shell and functions as a flashlight. It is selling for $895.

Red Jacket Firearms, the company featured in the Discovery reality TV series Sons of Guns, manufacture a Saiga-12 shotgun that can be mounted on an AR-15′s full length picatinny rail. They are selling it for $1889.
