The Golden Gun just got a new shape. LaugoArms Alien pistol is now available in a variety of versions, and if they keep on at this pace I actually might have to get one. In this POTD we are taking a look at the Laugo Arms Alien Black & Gold edition and Alien Rose Gold edition pistols.

Nearly a year ago, at SHOT Show 2020, TFB and TFB TV reported on the Laugo Alien pistol. During the Vegas convention, Lancer Systems hosted a range event to showcase these 9mm handguns, which they were working on importing from the Czech Republic at that time. Lancer indicated that they were expecting a late Spring 2020 delivery timeframe, but of course, the ‘Rona then swooped in and disrupted everyone’s business – including global supply chains. The Laugo import timeframe then shifted, and we had no choice but to wait. Particularly given that the Alien comes from the same company behind the wildly successful Scorpion design that was sold to CZ, this delay came as a great disappointment to many shooters.

We just read in the latest Wheelgun Wednesday the cautionary tale by Nicholas C about the proper grip technique to be adopted with the Chiappa Rhino. In the same days,  Laugo Arms Czechoslovakia published on their YouTube channel a couple of videos explaining how their Alien pistol must be gripped and shot. The analogy easily comes to mind, as both the Rhino and the Alien have the lowest bore axis in their respective categories.

You may have heard of Laugo Arms. They are the ones who designed the CZ Scorpion Evo 3 and sold it to Česká zbrojovka aka CZ. They have been teasing photos of the Laugo Arms Alien pistol. It has such a different approach and they are clearly going after the competition market with this offering.

When the Glock 43 was debuted at the 2015 NRA Meeting it was with a significant amount of excitement, because the long-awaited single-stack 9mm had finally arrived. Demand immediately outdid supply, and the even now, months later, the Glock groups on social media continue to be filled with “new gun” and “new gun’s first day at the range” photos from proud owners. There’s no doubt the Glock 43 is popular, and if you have one, or know someone who does, odds are you’re in the market for the perfect holster. Enter the latest offering from Alien Gear Holsters.
