At this year’s SHOT Show we caught up with the guys at Florida-based Adams Arms, known for their piston driven ARs and the AA-19 (literally the most expensive pistol Hop has ever reviewed over at TFBTV).

In this episode of TFBTV, Hop reviews the Adams Arms AA-19, a factory custom Glock 19 clone that retails for a solid thousand bucks. The AA-19 is based on a custom-stippled Polymer 80 style frame and has a lot of the features you expect on a high-end Glock clone like a threaded barrel, optics cut, and upgraded trigger. But it’s also lacking a few things you might expect.

Brooksville, Florida-based Adams Arms have been fulfilling a contract to produce carbines for Ukraine. Adams Arms haven’t stipulated which branch of the Ukrainian Armed Forces or Security Services the carbines are for but they stated that they have been working on orders for the past few months. The carbines appear to be  Adams Arms’s P1 model which has a Picatinny railed gas block with 3 adjustable settings and M4-style furniture. From the footage shown of the rifles, they do not appear to be select fire.

Florida-based Adams Arms have introduced the AA19, a new striker-fired, polymer-framed pistol. The company claims the AA19 brings together their experience and expertise with slides and barrels for custom handguns into one complete pistol. The pistol was initially unveiled at SHOT 2020 and is now about to reach dealers.

Brooksville, Florida-based Adams Arms has announced that VooDoo Innovations has moved into the AR-15 market with the launch of two new rifles, the Witch Doctor and the Dark Moon, both chambered in 5.56×45 and priced under $800.

2020 is a year of change for Adams Arms. Not only are they in the process of moving to a new facility, but  Adams Arms has also hired on its newest team member. Adams Arms Holdings LLC has just announced that Michael Halleron will be taking the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the company.

A couple of months ago Adams Arms has introduced their P Series Micro Gas Block which you can read about by clicking here. Recently, they have also announced the availability of the adjustable version of that gas block called P Series Adjustable Micro Gas Block.

Adams Arms announced the company is now selling its new P Series Micro Block piston systems for AR style rifles and pistols. These kits are designed to replace the typical direct impingement system common to the AR platform with a short stroke piston.

VooDoo Innovations which is part of Adam Arms showed off their new Glock slides at the 2016 SHOT Show. Their complete slide kits are profiled and lightened to help reduce felt recoil. They feature enhanced front and rear cocking serrations and an improved slide geometry that VooDoo Innovations claims helps draw your eye to the front sight. While their new slides come complete they were designed to work with factory glock sights and internals. They also include a 9mm threaded barrel with a barrel protector. They’re currently available for the Glock 17, 17C, 17L, 22, 22C, 24, 24C, 31, 34, 35, and 37.

VooDoo Innovations, part of the Adams Arms’ family, has announced the release of their first Glock Barrel, a Glock 17 model ready for both Gen 3 and Gen 4 handguns. Released to an already crowded market, the VDI barrel sets itself apart by loading up with specifications and features.

Following on the release of the full rifle, Adams Arms is releasing just the upper.  A number of you commented pretty favorably about the rifles and barrels on the other post, so this may be a way to try out the system if you have a compatible lower (and for a lower price).

Adams Arms is adding a .308 model to their “Small Frame” lineup: The Patrol Battle Rifle (PBR).

As an owner of an Adams Arms piston rifle, I can say that I love my piston rifle.  It is reliable and eats just about everything I shoot without fail. When I started a .300blk build a few months back, I was looking at having my gunsmith convert a standard Adam’s Arms kit to .300blk.  Now Adams Arms has released a new .300blk line, with uppers in both 14.5″ and 9.5″ barrels.  Both are also also available as complete firearms.

The glut of AR-style pistols keeps getting larger (and that’s a good thing!). Now, Adams Arms has released their Tactical Evo “Upgraded Pistols” featuring their piston system. The new pistols utilize Adams’ sister-company VooDoo Innovation’s barrels, available in both 7.5″ and 11.5″.

This review could not have come at a worse time to a better company & product. TFB requested the Adams Arms upper when 7n6 was plentiful. With the recent ban on cheap MilSurp ammo, the allure of 5.45 may be waning, but as a DI guy I walked away plenty impressed with the Adams Arms piston kit.
