The reloading world is constantly expanding despite several upsets over the decades that have left many wanting for components like primers and projectiles. Now that things seem to more or less be going back to normal in terms of availability of components, it’s nice that Hodgdon released the new Hodgdon 2024 Annual Manual. This yearly release contains some of the most up-to-date information for new pistol and rifle loads, as well as updates to older loads to accommodate for new selections in projectiles and powder.

Joining the ranks among a few other notable names within the bullpup shotgun scene is the new Escort BullTac pump-action bullpup shotgun. The new shotgun is capable of running up to 3″ shells, sports a standard length 18″ barrel, and an overall length of just 27.75 inches. Other features include a fixed cylinder choke, oxidation-resistant chrome-plated steel barrel, and a completely detachable carry handle.

There is a load of shotgun shells out there that can completely change the task that your shotgun is capable of handling. Duplex loads can often help bridge the gap between two different tasks or ranges. Remington’s new Nitro-Steel Duplex load is a new high-velocity shot shell loaded with two different sizes of shot. At the time of launch, there will be two available shot combinations, with two additional shot combinations coming at a later date.

Federal Ammunition has a new shotgun load entering the market. This No. 1 Buckshot loading has 16 copper-plated pellets in every shell. Let’s take a detailed look at the rest of the features.

Today’s Photo Of The Day features a KelTec KSG shotgun, which I rarely see in the wild, yet they turn up in law enforcement photos from time to time. The photos come from the French Police Nationale’s Facebook page on June 30, 2023. During late June and into July, France mobilized 45,000 police officers to combat the violent riots in cities across the country after a 17-year-old immigrant was killed during a traffic stop.
