PWS's First Silencer: The BDE 762 [TriggrCon 2022]

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves visits the gang at PWS to check out their BDE. [lol] The BDE is the first suppressor from PWS. It’s made from lightweight titanium alloy, using a modular design with four removable baffles, and an entrance chamber that’s serialized and compatible with various suppressor mounts (via HUB mounting). It has taper-threaded baffles that prevent backing off and carbon locking, and symmetrical baffle notches to allegedly improve accuracy. MSRP is $1,099.95

NEW Quiet: PWS BDE 762 – Bravo Delta Echo Suppressor

Additive manufacturing is taking the suppressor world by storm. When I first wrote about the Delta P Design Brevis II about five years ago, I took a fair amount of heat in the comment section. The main concerns were durability and repairing damaged 3D-printed silencers. I think we can lay the durability issue to rest (they are strong). And modularity is beginning to address the repair possibilities by having the serialized sections separated from the majority of the tubes. The new PWS BDE 762 takes additive modularity to a new level with six additional sections past the serialized blast baffle and mount section. Add in a 1.375 x 24” universal adapter thread pitch and a new contender starts to take shape. All puns in this article are organic, even if they are cringey.

[SHOT 2019] NEW "MK1 PRO" Rifle and Pistol line From PWS

From the land of gems and potatoes come the new PWS MK1 PRO line.  Unvieled to us at SHOT 2019, the PRO MK111 Pistol and PRO MK116 rifle still have the long-stroke piston and excellent features that PWS is known for, but differ in a key area:  They cost 1/2 the price of the MK1 MOD2 line!  This is achievable because the upper receivers are not forged and machined, but rather 6061 extrusions.  Another difference is the PRO line comes with standard A2 flashers instead of the fancier compensators found on other PWS firearms.  MSRP for complete guns is $995.95, and uppers are also available for $649.95.

Review: VERTX EDC Gamut Plus

Any dedicated carry bag will be a slightly less covert method of transporting a rifle simply due to the advertising around its intended purpose. However, the VERTX EDC Gamut Plus does not overtly market the backpack as a rifle bag and does an excellent job of staying low profile while offering a feature-rich backpack.

Project Spark Plug: PWS Summit Straight Pull 22LR – Part 1

Every shooter has what they refer to as their list of “grail guns”. That is, firearms they would easily order up if they had the resources to buy whatever they wanted (#hipointcarbine). On the other end of the line are the “everyday” type guns that steep themselves in utility and are fairly obtainable for the masses, like a Glock 19 for example (#everyoneshouldownone). Somewhere in the middle are a collection of guns that are realistically in reach with a little bit of saving and/or searching. For me, one of these guns is the Primary Weapons Systems (PWS) Summit straight pull 22LR 10/22 style receiver.

POTD: Keymod Glock

Zev Custom made cuts into the slide of this Glock for weight saving purposes. They decided to make them look like Keymod pattern. From my understanding this was done for laughs rather than actually mounting any Keymod accessories to the pistol.
