Now Available: The Palmetto State Armory 5.7 Rock Pistol

Once upon a time 5.7x28mm was only chambered by two guns: the FN PS90 and the FN 5.7, a very niche round if there ever was one. Eventually, AR uppers were introduced, and Ruger introduced their 57 pistol. This of course broadened the market and made it easier and more affordable for anyone to own a firearm in the blistering little cartridge. Now after introducing it at SHOT Show 2022, Palmetto State Armory has finally released the 5.7 Rock pistol to the market at a rather affordable price of $499.

TFB Review: Lead Star Arms Grunt Rifle

The Lead Star Arms Grunt is marketed as a duty rifle, though it comes from a competition-oriented brand. It blends some refinements from race guns with a more reserved aesthetic. And while Lead Star is a PSA brand, it does differ from their standard product line.

Today at Industry Day at the Range for SHOT 2022, Palmetto State Armory showed off their PSAK-105, a 5.45 AK variant. I got a chance to see and shoot it, and I have to say that I was very impressed. Chambered in 5.45x39mm and featuring a 4.5mm rear folding trunnion, short (12.5in/317.5mm) barrel, and polymer folding stock. This is coming only a few months after they introduced the 7.62x39mm AK-104 which features the same length barrel and folding stock. TFB Review: Palmetto State Armory Dissipator Rifle With PSA EPT Lower

The concept of the AR-15 Dissipator rifle dates back to the Vietnam War and lives on today from a few manufacturers, including Palmetto State Armory. The PSA Dissipator rifle has been one of those rifles I’ve wanted to try for a while since its features are ideal for a general-purpose rifle, as well as for teaching the kids on iron sights, all while remaining affordable. TFB Review: Palmetto State Armory 10.5″ Battlelink Pistol

AR pistols have become one of the most popular firearm trends in the United States over the last decade or so and I am not immune from the craze myself. While I fully understand the benefits, practicality, and reliability that a standard 16″ or 20″ AR rifle platform offers, there is just some enigmatic draw that AR pistols have that draws me into them. Palmetto State Armory recently sent me over one of their 10.5″ Battlelink AR pistols for testing and evaluation and aside from an LPVO and a sling, I kept the pistol as-is for the entirety of this review. Today we’ll see what PSA is offering with the Battlelink package, how well it came constructed, and how it performed on the range in a variety of tests.

TFB Review: Palmetto State Armory AR-15A4

I love a true AR-15 rifle. The classic 20″ barrel with a rifle-length gas tube and rifle recoil system is a joy to shoot. One of my perpetual favorite rifles is an FN M-16A4 Military Collector model topped with a 3.5x ACOG. That rifle accompanies me on almost every range outing. When the opportunity came to test a similarly-configured PSA gun I jumped at the chance. For convenience, in this I will be referring to this rifle as an AR-15A4 after the similarly-configured Colt AR-15A4.

In an email put out to distributors and dealers for FN America, the company urged its customers to be wary of purchasing the pistols in case they go against local regulations.

Sub-MOA with Steel Case? PSA PA-10 Gen 3 Review

In this episode of TFBTV, Hop tests the Palmetto State Armory PA-10 Gen 3. This rifle is PSA’s take on the AR-10 or LR-308 platform; available with an 18″ or 20″ barrel, and a variety of trigger and handguard options. The out of the box features of the PA-10 are very basic, making it a canvas for aftermarket customization. Of course, none of that matters if it’s not accurate, so in a show of admirable self-restraint, Hop actually did some accuracy testing too. Watch closely to see two photobombing bees.
