Tactical Jeans from Oxcart
If there is any complaint about the tactical clothing I could genuinely offer prior to this article, it was that there was a definitive lack of every-day low-vis pants. While other companies have a veritable bevvy of options for covering one’s legs, they are always a canvas or rip-stop type pant, where most of us working blue-collar would rather have a good set of denim jeans. Jeans just blend in more to our surroundings and can take grease and oil stains better than khaki or dyed pants.
Learning to Run a Bolt-Action For Real – Chris Baker Goes Over Getting Started in Practical Rifle Shooting
When it comes to my shooting hobbies, sometimes I feel like a bit of a black sheep. I am neither a race gun driver, nor a benchrest shooter. I don’t blast IDPA targets and Texas stars with an STI DVC Open, or break 200 rounds per minute cyclic smoking brown cardboard with my braked JP Enterprises AR-15. I don’t compete in F-Class, and I don’t even do Cowboy Action (cue a complete lack of surprise from our readers).
Muzzle Brake with Picatinny Rails?
Here’s one from the “What the &%$%$ were they thinking” category. Tufforce, a company that I am not familiar with prior to this post, is offering a muzzle device completed with picatinny rails across the 12, 3, 6, & 9 o’clock positions.
Replacement Selected For Canadian Rangers' Lee-Enfield Rifles
The search for a new rifle fit for the Canadian Rangers has ended, and the replacement is surprising. Colt Canada was selected in late 2014 to provide rifles to replace the Rangers’ venerable No. 4 Lee-Enfields, which many assumed meant the next rifle would be a .223/5.56mm caliber AR-15 derivative, from the company’s lineup. Not so! While the new rifle will be made by Colt Canada, it has been derived from the Sako T3 CTR, and will be chambered in .308 Winchester:
Riflecraft Introduces The RS-3: A Cross-Body Sling For Marksmen
I am not someone who is very concerned with gear. My main rifle is close to bone stock, besides the optic, and is only “blinged out” with a USGI web sling. My Glock uses the much-maligned stock sights, because those work fine for me. I generally look at small products like slings and lubricants that claim to offer real improvement with a healthy dose of skepticism. What I have works, and I don’t generally feel the need to change it much.
