With the recent appalling and horrific event that occurred in Las Vegas many aspects of the firearms industry have come under fire. Whether it is bump stocks or items that were never even utilized during the Las Vegas event, much of our industry has received an unnecessary, negative limelight. This includes silencers. Unfortunately, certain factions of the media cannot discern the difference between a flash hider, a silencer and one not being present at all. Finally, the American Suppressor Association (ASA), after a long period of silence, has made a public statement.

Innovative Arms just announced something that is on the top of my want/wish list. The silencer and firearms manufacturer has upgraded their line of integrally suppressed firearms to include the new Ruger MKIV rimfire pistol. Using a monocore baffle stack, the team at Innovative Arms has included the  seamless upper/barrel/tube design that makes for a beautiful pistol that is undoubtedly ultra-quiet.

I know, I know, yet another review of an AR-15 rifle. A few of you, I’m sure, will provide the obligatory “Yawn.” in the comments. However, running this rifle did not bore me, nor make my eyes glaze. It was actually very satisfying to shoot, and in a market flooded with ho-hum offerings, I assure you the Black Dawn was anything but.
