TFB has been running our very special Photo Of The Day for years, sharing great photos from around the world and the world of firearms. Sometimes the selected pictures involve a lot of action and shooting, sometimes there’s another reason behind the choice. Like today, because when I see images like this, I get really interested in buying another rifle.

Patriot Ordnance Factory, aka POF-USA, is best known for their AR-pattern rifles, particularly their piston-driven models. The Arizona-based operation began its existence in late founder Frank DeSomma’s garage, fueled by his experience as an aerospace engineer, and is still carrying on strong in his memory with fresh products and innovation. They announced a new PCC, the Phoenix, at SHOT Show 2022, and are now doubling down in the 9mm game ahead of SHOT Show 2023. Their newest pistol-caliber gun looks a bit different, however. Meet the 9mm magazine-fed lever-action Tombstone.

Patriot Ordnance Factory (POF-USA) has added 6mm Creedmoor as an option for their Prescott and Revolution semi-automatic models. They both use 22” barrels with 1:8 rifling, POF’s 3-port break, a 14.5” MMR handguard, a single-stage match trigger made by POF, and MFT pistol grip. The new 6mm Creedmoor Revolution (MSRP from $2,903) and Prescott (MSRP from $2,365) are available in bronze or black anodized finish.

Patriot Ordnance Factory, or POF-USA, started in Frank DeSomma’s garage in 2002. Over the last eighteen years he has grown the company to become an industry leader in piston-driven ARs and more. Tragically, on the way home from his office yesterday, June 18th, 2020, the 57-year-old entrepreneur and former aerospace engineer died in a car accident. Today, POF-USA shared the following message via their social media outlets.

Is 2020 going to be the year of the Rimfire? Glock just released their .22LR pistol, and as this decade comes to an end it is time for POF USA to release a firearm in the same caliber. Does it take Glock mags? No, but the new Rebel .22LR Sub Gun takes Ruger 10/22 magazines which is going to make a lot of people happy.

Patriot Ordnance Factory (POF-USA) has announced the release of a new series of AR-15 pattern weapons called Minuteman. In POF-USA’s own words, the features seen in Minuteman rifles and pistols are “Everything a respectable rifle needs, and nothing it doesn’t“.

Patriot Ordnance Factory USA ( POF USA) has always implemented unique styling and tremendous quality into their Renegade+ series of modern sporting rifles. To build on that success, they now are deploying the newest craze-worthy cartridge, the .224 Valkyrie, to the platform for even higher performance and flatter shooting.

New from POF-USA are pistol versions of their small-frame .308 Revolution and their DI renegade.  The new Revolution pistols in .308 feature a 12.5″ fluted barrel, buffer tube with brace and an 11.5″ handguard with M-lok.  They are available in a black or NP3 finish.  Weighing 6.9lbs, these new pistols also have sling attachment points fore, mid and aft and have a 3-prong flash hider to mitigate excessive flash from non-SBR optimized loads.  MSRP is $2659.00.   While expensive, I can personally attest to the build quality of current generation POF-USA products.  They are accurate, reliable, easy to clean, and have excellent, durable finishes.

We all know that Glocks are the glorified tinkerer-toy of the handgun world. With decades of reliability, law enforcement backing and an abundance of aftermarket parts, many manufacturers want to get in on the game.

The 6.5 Creedmoor as a caliber has been experiencing an exponential rise in popularity as of late. Adding fuel to that fire is Patriot Ordnance Factory (POF) with their new P6.5 Edge rifle chambered for 6.5 Creedmoor.

POF is breaking with their tradition of offering only oprod guns (aside from the straight-pull ReVolt) by introducing a new .308 Winchester direct impingement precision rifle. Calling it the “Olde School”, they are presenting the rifle as being more reliable and heat resistant, incorporating an Inconel gas tube and their four-fluted chamber neck. As of yet, POF has only released a single-page brochure for the Olde School, but they claim the rifle is shipping to customers presently:
