You guys know what time it is. It’s deals time. So let’s go, wallets out. There’s plenty of things to spend your money on this week.

Would you believe I wrote 1/17/19, corrected it to 1/1/7/20, and only after typing up most of this article I realized it was wrong? Well, it doesn’t really matter. Here’s some deals to drain your wallet.

I am always in awe of people who have the skills to build their own firearms from scratch or a parts kit. Tube-based firearms like a Sten and Sterling are supposedly some of the easier firearms to make, at least so I have heard. I think the next step up is bending an MP5 flat into 9mm roller lock goodness. Foster Huntington shared his modernized Sten MKII build.

DSArms has announced the availability of a new FAL parts kit based on surplused Israeli Defence Force FALs. The kits include a magazine and everything but the rifle’s upper receiver and barrel.

If you recall, The Firearm Blog broke the news back in March that Brownells was importing HK416 components. They first offered their HK417 parts for sale back in early September. Well now they will be selling their HK416 parts as well as offering their newly manufactured parts up for pre-order on Veteran’s Day, Monday November 12. Their 416 profile lowers, the BRN-4, will also be up for pre-order.

To the first-time AK builder, the task in front of him or her can seen daunting, or even impossible. Unlike AR-15s that easily go together virtually like a LEGO set, the Kalashnikov rifle requires a bit more effort – and more expensive tools – to put together. There are some resources available online to aid a new AK builder, but another option is Build Your Own AK, Volumes I and II, by Montag and Nicoroshi.

American Built Arms Company has put together a nifty little kit. Some of the stuff I’m not entire sure about (like the black gear bands), but the rest of the items are things I normally try and carry with me when I hit the range. It would be nice if it was small enough to fit inside a grip but still pretty small.

New for 2015, Badger Ordnance has made AR lower parts in titanium.
