This year has certainly started with a bang, and our Photo Of The Day has never been so diversified. We’ve been from Novosibirsk, driven hunts to the Japanese Jungle already. Today we have a recruiting poster from the German Special Forces unit called GSG9 (GrenzSchutzGruppe 9). You can see the H&K MP5 SD and a Smith & Wesson .357 revolver.

Some guns just seem to attract the most ravenous fanboys. These fanatics collaborate and overtime form cult-like cells within the community of firearm enthusiasts. In this video we explore five firearms that have developed a fan base akin to cults, often bordering on outright religious behavior.

The H&K P7 series of handguns were in production for 30 years and are coveted by many. These unique pistols function via gas delayed blowback and are just a dream to shoot. While they certainly look unconventional, the P7 is a West German wonder-gun that everyone should get some trigger time on at least once. So lets take a look inside!

Many consider the H&K P7 to be the finest handgun ever offered by the company, or even of any company. YouTuber LifeSizePotato recently posted a picture of his P7M13 to Imgur, an image hosting/social media site:

Throughout the sixty-seven years Heckler and Koch have been in business, there are a number of firearms produced by the company that one could consider perennial. Chief among such designs would be the MP5 and or the G3, both weapons which continue to see use even fifty years after their creation. While for many, rifles and sub-machine guns would be the first to come to mind, HK has a history of producing pistols which define the concept of utilitarian and are practically indestructible.
