TFB Review: P365 Romeo-X Compact Slide Assembly

A few weeks back I took my concealed carry pistol to the range for some much-needed practice. When I drew and acquired a sight picture, the only thing that went through my mind was “what the hell is that thing.” I had been shooting red dot sight-equipped pistols exclusively for months on end. In the time leading up to this practice trip, I had shot a few steel challenge matches, USPSA matches and took a course – all with red dot equipped pistols. The thing in my sight picture happened to be a steel sight post. Whether I liked it or not, the caveman tool sitting on the top deck of the slide turned out to be jarring.

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at SHOT Show Industry Day at the Range 2024 visiting the guys from Flux Defense to chat about the new version of the insanely popular Flux Raider, the Raider 365. The Raider 365 will be specifically for the modular SIG P365 pistol and will be perhaps the smallest pistol chassis system in existence. Despite its novelty, it looks to be a practical, concealable option for an already practical, concealable handgun, giving you a buttstock plus a bevy of options for extended barrels, optics mounting, and stocks or braces as force-multiplying features to make your pocket pistol something of a subgun.

TFB REVIEW: The P365-AXG LEGION – Alloy Frame Ultra Compact EDC Pistol

The addition of the P365 to the SIG Sauer concealed carry or everyday carry (EDC) pistol lineup is a success by any measure. Once dominated by low-capacity, single-stack magazine pistols, the P365 brought a compact footprint with a large capacity into the world of carry guns. Since its initial introduction, there have been a handful of sub-models like the P365X, the P365XL, and the MACRO line of guns. Today we are here to discuss one of the latest introductions to the SIG subcompact lineup, the P365-AXG LEGION, an alloy-framed, compensated, and optics-ready version of the P365 series. Is this your next carry gun? Let’s take a look.

The P365 X-Macro was introduced about a year ago and is the highest capacity evolution of the P365 lineup of micro-compact 9mm pistols. One Year Later: P365 X-Macro Review – Was It Worth It?

It’s been a little over a year since the SIG Sauer P365 X-Macro was released, and it’s become a popular choice for those looking for a compact handgun that doesn’t sacrifice at all on the performance side of things. Last year, TFBTV’s Hop and I had the opportunity to head out to New Hampshire for the initial release of the SIG P365 X-Macro and had a bit of trigger time with it there. Since then, I’ve acquired my own copy of the P365 X-Macro to use and carry around and I’ve been doing that on and off for the better part of a year now. The question is, after a year of use, do I think the P365 X-Macro is worth the investment? In this review, we’ll take a closer look at the P365 X-Macro to see how it’s held up over time, as well as how it does its job as a concealed carry handgun. So without further ado, here is my P365 X-Macro review – one year later.
