It’s always an exciting day for shotgun shooters when Beretta releases a new shotgun. The new Ultraleggero (literally “Ultra Light” in Italian) is based on the design of the Beretta 690 action but with several key changes to make the new over-under shotgun as light as possible. Beretta has changed key components and reduced any unnecessary weight to bring the weight of the entire shotgun down to nearly 6 pounds. The chamber of the Ultraleggero is a full 76mm (2.99 inches) long so that it can make use of popular magnum cartridges with every type of shot on the market.

This year’s SHOT Show may be a little different, ok that’s an understatement but as usual, there’s a healthy range of new shotguns being released. Maryland-based Stoeger have announced the addition of a synthetic stocked version of their Condor over/under. The new synthetic Stoeger Condor comes in at $349 (MSRP) making it an interesting option for a slick, robust, affordable over/under.

Browning have introduced the latest in their line of Citori over and under sporting shotguns. The 12 gauge Citori White Lightning combines a silver nitride finished steel receiver with intricate engraving, polished blued barrels, oil finish grade III or IV walnut furniture and extended black band Invector-Plus choke tubes.
