Kalashnikov Concern Launches Gun Care Chemicals and Lubricants
Kalashnikov Concern has announced the launch of Kalashnikov branded gun care products. They’ve introduced several lubricants as well as a rust remover, degreaser, and cold bluing compound. In the press release, they say that all the new products are tested in their own laboratories.
FrogLube is Probably Made From Coconut Oil (Not Frogs)
Last month Andrew Tuohy published a blog post comparing FrogLube with two other lubricants TrackLube+ (a rollercoaster lubricant) and Seal1, another gun lube. He commissioned a infrared spectroscopy analysis of the three lubes and found they were virtually identical chemically, despite being different in color and smell.

While it is true there are a number of cleaning and lubricant products for firearms on the market, it is also true they are not all created equal. Some work better than others, some do not work at all, and some actually create the opposite effect the user is hoping for by gumming up the gun rather than helping it run smoothly. Due to those issues – the saturation of such products lining the shelves of local gun stores and their hit-or-miss tendencies – it’s only natural to react with some skepticism when faced with something new.
