I’ll spare you the history lesson on how Northern Ireland came to be but suffice it to say, Northern Ireland has some pretty interesting gun laws and gun culture despite technically being a part of the United Kingdom which historically has had some pretty stringent gun laws when compared to the United States. Our guest Paul was generous enough to lend me some of his time so that we could share all of this information with you and hopefully perhaps bring some more Northern Irelanders into the sport!

Hidden Cache of Weapons Found After Fire in Belfast

A cache of weapons was discovered as a residential property in Belfast, Northern Ireland following a heating boiler fire. Two AK-pattern rifles and two sawn-off shotguns were found along with a supply of ammunition.

AR-180 Discovered In Northern Ireland

Strabane Police discovered an Armalite AR-180 and ammunition during a security alert. The PSNI (Police Service Northern Ireland) Superintendent Mark McEwan blames the “New IRA” for the weapon and that they intended to kill people with it. He goes on to condemn the firearm and that its only purpose is to kill people. They are concerned about such weapons being in the hands of the public and will stay vigilant.
