The announcement of the Vice President model 1911 marks the 3rd pistol in the Nighthawk Custom Boardroom Series which has already debuted the Chairman and the President. Like the other two models in the Boardroom Series, the Vice President is equally striking in appearance and the multitude of features it boasts so you will strike the bullseye as well.
Nighthawk Custom Introduces Four New Korth Revolvers
Nighthawk Custom is introducing four new Korth revolvers in .357 Magnum. Whether or not you can afford the premium price tags, Korth revolvers are not easily forgotten. TFB has covered them in the past and they are known for more traditional designs as well as the tactical features on some of their recent models. Korth revolvers are made in Germany and Imported by Nighthawk Custom. The four new revolvers from Korth are: Super Sport-Blue ALX, Super Sport-Red ULX, Ranger, and Mongoose Sliver. The following images and specifications are from Nighthawk’s website.
NEW Nighthawk Custom Interchangeable Optic System (IOS) Upgrade
With the exponential growth and desire for handgun shooters to use red dot optics, more and more firearm manufacturers are offering catalog models with that ability readily available. Most of the time though it is only specific models offered by a gun maker that consumers would have to settle for. Nighthawk Custom is taking the yearning for red dots and upgrading your pistol one step further than the rest. They now offer an upgrade service to most of their New 1911 pistols where an Interchangeable Optic System (IOS) can be installed.
Reader's Choice… What's the BEST Custom 1911?
Hopefully, everyone has made it through Thanksgiving, had a delightful self-induced food coma, and re-emerged with renewed vigor for firearms and Christmas wish lists at the ready! If you fancy yourself an affectionate lover of the 1911, what would be your dream custom 1911? There are many gorgeous, intricate, and masterfully designed models out on the market if you know where to look. Some can have an entry point of $1,000 while others you may need quite a bit more coin than that to take them for a spin. So for this month, we propose this question to you… What is the BEST Custom 1911?
Meet THE PRESIDENT in the Boardroom with Nighthawk Custom
Nighthawk Custom has announced a new 1911 that is a part of their Boardroom Series that they began late last year. This newest addition is dubbed The President, and like the name infers, you have high-end quality poured over this model just like the position itself. This is only the second model that Nighthawk Custom has offered through their prestigious Boardroom Series of 1911s.
Doug Turnbull & Nighthawk Custom Collaborate for a Browning Hi-Power Turnbull VIP 2
Nighthawk Custom is known for their firearm masterpieces that are borderline pieces of artwork. An equally prestigious arms maker in his own right is Doug Turnbull of Turnbull Restoration. If you combine the ability and craftsmanship of these two entities, you could get something truly incredible. Like, the Browning Hi-Power Turnbull VIP 2, which is the newest pistol introduced through Nighthawk Custom’s VIP Line of firearms.
Nighthawk Announces Ladyhawk 2.0 Pistol
Nighthawk Custom announced an upgrade to the Ladyhawk line of 1911 pistols. It is called the Ladyhawk 2.0 and is the first of several new pistols for 2018.
Boardroom Series of Pistols: NEW Nighthawk Custom Chairman Longslide
Nighthawk Custom, the quality custom shop from Arkansas, is used to having one gunsmith labor to build one gun at a time. With their new Boardroom Series of pistols, this should be pretty evident. To the tune of $4,195 (not legal for our California friends), you can get a subtly high-class 1911 that will be a gem to shoot as well.
UPDATE: Go from a Single-Stack 1911 to a Double-Stack?… Nighthawk Custom will CONVERT your 9mm
[UPDATE: This article originally posted that Nighthawk Custom customers could send in Nighthawk Custom pistols they already own to have a Double-Stack Conversion applied to their Single-Stack 1911 models. This is INCORRECT and an error of the author of this article. I personally, and we at TFB, apologize for the confusion this created. Please read on to be informed as to what NIghthawk Custom can now offer to you.]
NEW: Nighthawk Tomahawk 12GA Firearm
Ok, I know what you are thinking. A tricked out 12 gauge Nighthawk ‘firearm’ is going to be priced somewhere between the moon and New York City (great tune, by the way). And you are right, the MSRP is on the high side. So instead of insulting your intelligence by trying to explain features and specifications that make the numbers add up, I’m just going to leave everything here for your review. Doesn’t fit your needs and/or budget? No problem. But it will fit in someone’s safe.
Nighthawk Custom 1911s, Revolvers and Shotguns, Oh My!
Nighthawk Custom makes top-tier functional artwork that just so happens to also launch copper and lead at ~1000fps. And while I’ve come to terms with the fact that I will probably never be able to afford one of their guns, (come on Pulitzer Prize!) I still like to stop by now and then to window shop and drool. Last week I was happy to see Nighthawk’s and Korth’s collaborative line of revolvers finally available for purchase. If you remember, Nathaniel F. stopped by their booth at the Annual NRA show a few months back or the debut. I am especially intrigued by the little Sky Hawk 9mm wheel gun that looks to have a tight cylinder gap. Could this actually be a viable suppressor host? I wonder if Nighthawk would make some “customizations” for me.
The MAG/SLAB Pistol Stand
I am guessing that we have all seen a gun product and said to ourselves “Why didn’t I think of that?”. But Joe Holden, creator of the MAG/SLAB actually did think of something that will make high-end pistol owner’s very happy. The MAG/SLAB is a simple, yet functional stand for displaying and storing 1911s and other collectable pistols. Made with a polymer magazine insert and a metal or wood base, these stands are beautifully designed and perfectly match the aesthetics of a classic wood-and-steel gun.
