At the end of May, after some careful consideration, I canceled my Netflix subscription, only to find out a few days later that “Extraction 2” is coming out on Netflix on June 16.

Firearms fans and movie buffs often share a good deal of overlap. With so many excellent guns and gun-related scenes in such a plethora of films over the years, it’s easy to understand why. Many shooters will have a list of their favorite gun movies, scenes, or specific silver screen firearms. If you were to take a survey, it’s likely that you’d find the 1995 heist classic “Heat” on a significant number of those best-of lists. Now we have a new piece of cinematic ballistic history to discuss. KeepShooting.com sells an interesting smorgasbord of gun-related gear, and they’ve announced that they have acquired a unique prop gun from the above-named film classic.

It is the summer of 1989 and I’m a kid on a family vacation traveling through Silverthorne, Colorado. Being huge Indiana Jones fans, we decide to beat the heat and and catch a matinee showing of ‘The Last Crusade’ for a second time. It was that afternoon that I decided I wanted a leather whip, a satchel and a Webley WG Army revolver. Now fast forward to “adulthood” – if you are like me and have made gun purchases based on some of your favorite movies, you have the chance to buy some actual firearm props at the most recent installment of eBay’s Hollywood auction series.

In a recent B-Rated Sci Fi film called Kill Command, the props department came up with this futuristic sniper rifle. It uses a backwards Magpul MOE rifle length handguard as a muzzle device. There is even a delta ring on the end of the handguard. It sticks out like a sore thumb.
