Master Of Arms Duckpuppy A 3D Printed Muzzle Brake
Master of Arms makes AR-15s and parts for them, some of which are actually 3D printed and then finished off with traditional manufacturing processes. They are using laser sintering to make parts out of titanium. They have an interesting muzzle brake design called the Duckpuppy that looks a little... strange.
POTD: Well There's Your Problem, It Bends To The Left
Thanks to Hrachya for sharing this photo. Liberty Suppressors posted this on their Facebook page with just this caption:
ATF Arrests Man For eBay Silencer Sales
Part 1 of our ‘Build Your Own Silencer’ series is my most-read article that I’ve had the pleasure of posting here at TFB. And I think that’s great – the more people we have interested in purchasing, owning, transferring and making suppressors legally the better. So as I work on Part 2 of the BIY series, be prepared to see yet another set of warnings and disclaimers. After that we are going to walk you through the ATF “Form 1” application, and then talk about parts suppliers. One of which is eBay.
Sig Sauer Loses MPX "Muzzle Brake" Case to the ATF
Sig Sauer, known in the firearms legal for their willingness to litigate against the BATFE, has lost their MCX “muzzle brake” case in federal appellate court. The Appeals court agreed with the U.S. District Court of New Hampshire’s previous ruling that Sig’s MCX “extended monocore brake” was indeed a suppressor.
POTD: Intriguing Monocore Suppressor Design
Found this photo with little to no context other than it is a monocore suppressor baffle design. I could not find out who made this or any other developments about this design. It looks cool but I know nothing about fluid dynamics. It sort of reminds me of the SilencerCo Maxim pistol.
