SHOT Show 2024 has been the year of the lever action, and Midwest Industries arrived at the show with new accessories for all of them. Hop stopped by to check out the new stock accessories, and play catch up on the lever action handguards and optics rails Midwest has been making for a while. Midwest Industries lever action products include stocks, handguards, and optic rail mounts for several brands and patterns of lever action rifles, all of which can be installed without permanently altering the rifle.

Shortly after  Rossi’s release of the R95 30-30 lever action rifle, Midwest Industries introduced two modernization parts for this new lever gun: an M-LOK handguard and an Extended Sight System. The former is an open-top aluminum handguard with multiple M-LOK slots and a sling swivel stud. The Extended Sight System consists of a similar M-LOK handguard with a top Picatinny rail that extends back over the receiver and a set of iron sights. The trend of modernizing and updating the lever-action gun is seriously starting to take off with all sorts of great aftermarket parts that allow the attachment of virtually any type of accessory to your favorite lever gun. Midwest Industries has just announced their latest M-LOK handguard for Rossi and Winchester lever-action firearms. This new handguard like others in the lever-gun series is made from the 6061 hard coat anodized aluminum and features plenty of M-LOK sections for mounting accessories.

At SHOT Show 2023, Midwest Industries unveiled an entire line of AK accessories called the  AK Alpha Series. Currently, there are four main products in this family of Midwest Industries AK accessories: AK Alpha Series M-LOK Handguard, AK Alpha Series Optic Mount, AK Alpha Series Railed Top Cover and AK Alpha Series Folding Stock. Let’s take a closer look at each of these new Midwest Industries products.

New for 2023, Midwest Industries has released a refreshed lineup of AK accessories and upgrades. The new Alpha series parts lineup includes new handguards and optic mounting systems, as well as their new modular folding stock. These parts can be used to fully modernize an AK, or to add a bit of capability to a classic one.

Midwest Industries recently released a new AK Light & Laser Mount for AKM pattern rifles that attaches to the barrel. The new AK Light & Laser mount features two 1913 Picatinny rails, one on each side, with 2.1 inches of space for mounting, well, lights and lasers. The mount also has a cutout to allow for the cleaning rod to remain in place under the barrel. Midwest Industries’ specs can be found below.

If you frequently maintain or build a Glock magazine-fed firearm, then you should find this new tool from Midwest Industries quite interesting. The new Midwest Industries Glock Pistol Caliber Carbine Block is a vise block with magazine-shaped extensions for securing a Glock magazine-fed firearm in a vise thus making working on such guns much more convenient. Although it is apparently designed and marketed primarily for PCCs, this tool can also be used with Glock or Glock magazine-fed pistols. So, basically, it should be compatible with anything that takes Glock mags.

Midwest Industries Inc. recently announced their three new parts for the Benelli M4 shotgun, also known as the M1014 as named for the United States Marines. The new products Midwest Industries dished out are an optic mount, specifically for an Aimpoint T and H series red dot sights, an enhanced charging handle, and an M-LOK handguard. If you’re ready to deck out your lever action in all the latest tactical gear, then you might be interested to hear that Midwest Industries has launched their new M-LOK G2 Handguards for Henry lever action rifles. The new set of M-LOK G2 handguards will cover most Henry lever action rifles that don’t feature barrel bands like the Henry Model X.

AK-specific maintenance tools aren’t all that common. Usually to prop your Kalashnikov upright in a vice one has to sacrifice a magazine or put the receiver itself inside the jaws. With the rising popularity of the AK, Midwest Industries has released their AK Receiver Maintenance Block to provide some much-needed help to this growing community. This maintenance block can not only hold your AK upright while you do things like installing fire control groups, replacing furniture, cleaning the rifle/pistol, field stripping and reassembling, but also has a spot that acts as a bench block and secures your bolt at the same time. This of course beats holding the bolt still with the side of your hand while you hold a punch and try to keep everything steady on a universal bench block.

Midwest Industries has just announced their Extended Sight Systems for Henry lever action X Models, which brings the rear sight back onto the receiver, rather than Henry’s factory location on top of the barrel. Midwest Industries’ Extended Sight Systems include an aluminum handguard rail with M-LOK slots and a 16-inch top Picatinny rail, a front and rear sight, a 5-slot Picatinny rail section, and a sling swivel. Without having a Henry X Model lever action, I estimate that the Extended Sight System provides an extra six inches to the overall sight radius. The full press release can be read below.

According to the specifications, the weight is 8 pounds or 3.6 kg, with the 16.25″ barrel. SCAR stands for Special Operations Combat Assault Rifle. I don’t know a single person who doesn’t think lever-action firearms are cool. There has been a recent trend of lever-action guns receiving the modern treatment. Midwest Industries has put to market several products meant to modernize your lever gun. The most recent, intended for Marlin 1895 rifles, is the Marlin Extended Sight System.

There’s a chance you’ve seen an image or three of an AR-15 railed handguard that’s been split apart from being too close to a muzzle brake. Enter the new Midwest Industries MI-CRM17XR handguard, designed to stretch out flush with a muzzle device, while giving the percussive blast a wide berth.
