BREAKING: French Defense Procurement Department CONFIRMS Heckler & Koch HK416 Win for French Rifle Contract
If any of you still had doubts about the HK416’s rumored win of the French AIF (Arme Individuelle du Futur – Future Individual Weapon) contract, doubt no more. The French DGA (Direction Générale de l’Armement, their defense procurement office) has released the final decision for the contract, naming Heckler & Koch as the winner. MAC Plays with the New SIG MPX Collapsible Arm Brace By SB Tactical
In either a stroke of clairvoyance or lunacy, the ATF arbitrarily decided one in the favor of gun owners with the new approved arm braces by SB Tactical. Of note, the new braces are attached to collapseable rails to create a multi-functional arm “braces” which are legal for any civilian in the United States to attach to a “pistol”. As Tim points out, pistols have advantageous legal characteristics such as not having to apply to cross state lines.

New SIG MCX In 300 Blackout
One of the more appealing guns at the SIG event is the new SIG MCX. The MCX comes in several variants including an SBR,Carbine and pistol. The carbine and SBR have the new skeletonized stock with buffer pad. The pistol uses the next generation pistol stock which folds to the left as does the skeleton stock.

SIG is aggressively pursuing a revamped lineup for 2015. As part of this, they have announced a new carbine: The SIG MCX.
SIG MCX PDW Photos
Ten Pound Monkey sent us these photos from the AUSA Expo of the upcoming SIG MCX PDW. The upper receiver contains a short stroke gas piston system with a forward recoil spring, doing away with the need for a buffer tube and allowing foldable stocks and collapsable wire stocks.
