An exclusive licensing with SilencerCo has given KRYTAC the right to create their first gas-powered airsoft pistol as a Maxim 9 clone. The KRYTAC Maxim 9 airsoft pistol has a baffled anodized aluminum slide and a strengthened polymer frame. The modular design of the baffles enables versatility in both short (240mm) and long configurations (275mm).

James and Jake of SilencerCo talk about the past, present, and future of this ambitious project, and even shoot the only full-auto Maxim 9, which fires at a blistering 1,300 rounds per minute (the notoriously fast Glock 18 fires at 1,100 rounds per minute). Cesar B. posted this photo of a range rental Maxim 9. He is not sure how this happened but there was a baffle strike on the end cap of the Maxim 9. Even if the screws were loose could the end cap shift enough to get in the path of a bullet? Well somehow this one did. A simple call to Silencer Co and this issue has been addressed and fixed.

Recently, my local FFL and Range held a Range Demo Day featuring products from Wilson Combat, Silencerco, Heckler & Koch, Blue Bullets, and Vortex Optics.  I was Volunteering my time for the most part, but got to try some products at the end of the day.  One of the most anticipated products at the range day was Wilson Combat’s relatively new EDC X9 double stack 9mm 1911, and I was very excited to try it out.

SilencerCo has upped their status in outrageous stunts. Parachuting from the sky with silenced weapons and shooting them. My hat is off to you. This looks like a lot of fun.

We’ve been reading and seeing a fair amount about the Maxim 9 from SilencerCo for the past few years. The time has finally come where their first pistol, an integrally suppressed 9mm pistol made from all SilencerCo parts, is now available for sale with an MSRP of $1499.

At the American Suppressor Association Media Day, SilencerCo had an assortment of suppressed weapons.

Over a year and a half after its initial announcement, the SilencerCo Maxim 9 has finally hit dealers shelves. Back then, at a seemingly over-the-top launch event in Miami, a Crockett and Tubbs theme took media types out into international waters for some high-seas target practice. At least it wasn’t bearded hipsters shooting the new integrally suppressed gun in the Rocky Mountains. That’s reserved for the other product lines:

I love photos like this. Disassembled guns with all the parts exposed. I wonder if this was photoshopped like J.W. Ramp’s AK47 or if they physically suspended all the parts like the Glock 43 and just photoshopped the strings away?

At the SilencerCo booth, they have two holsters for the MAXIM 9. One looks and functions like a Blackhawk Serpa and they have a custom molded Kydex holster. These were made to dispel ideas that the Maxim 9 is too big to be holstered. AIWB holsters on the other hand might not work.

This photo was posted on Facebook yesterday. When TFB was at the Shot Show Industry Range Day I had asked Hudson MFG about suppressing the H9. They laughed and said they can’t speak about it just yet.

At Industry Range Day I got a chance, like many others, to get some trigger time and check out the production version of the Maxim 9. For those who have not heard of this and have been living with out internet for the past couple years or perhaps you woke up from a coma, the Maxim 9 is an integrally suppressed 9mm handgun by SilencerCo.
