Lightning Review: Forward Controls Design EMR-A Ambi Mag Catch/Release
As a fan of ambidextrous controls, I am always pleased to see when new products hit the market. With handguns going quickly full-ambi, I hope it’s just a matter of time until most rifles follow suit. Until then, companies like Forwarding Controls Design have been hard at work combining modern machining and ideas to half-century old AR-15s.
UBML – Ambi Magazine Release for Restricted States
To me, its sad that a product like this has to exist in the first place, but exist it does. The UBML, an apt shortening of “Ultimate Bilateral Magazine Lock” is a ambidextrous pair to the “bullet buttons” required by states or countries that various restrictions on self-loading rifles.
KRISS Vector ambi mag release live fire test
I got a mag release from Ace 1 Arms to test on my KRISS Vector under live fire. Ace 1 Arms makes airsoft accessories but their ambi mag release is made of 6061 CNC aluminum. They were interested to see if their mag release would work in the real Vectors. I was confident that it would. The results are great and the design is fantastic.
